QUOTE(sherrina @ Jun 15 2009, 11:42 PM) wah, maxis waiting list 5 month!! Maybe coz Maxis gives priority to iPhone, I guess... No wonder there are still 3rd party resellers out there selling the bold at a premium price of RM2000++ when Maxis users can get it for RM1899.. that is if Maxis have any stock. I guess their so called Enterprise Division handling the BB is not so 'Enterprise' after all. Sigh. How can they advertise the BB as an essential business tool when their business division can't even ensure the availability of the device for their own business?

yup ive been waiting for 5 months already. they said its out of stock. when i asked when are they going to re stock bb bold, they kept on saying 'its coming in 2 months time'. visited celcom cube the other day, they still have the stock, but since im a maxis customer, i dont know whether its worth it to switch to celcom just for the phone. i dont know what should i do. i asked the centre whether can i still suscribe blackberry services if im going to buy the phone outside, and the answered that they cant guarantee that cuz somehow, u have to buy from them. stupid maxis. Why not buy the phone only from celcom then subscribe BIS with Maxis? If its brand new from celcom, you should be able to use BIS from Maxis, celcom set is unlocked as well. The most important things from BB device is the PIN, that's why if you buy from overseas make sure the PIN are released.

QUOTE(sherrina @ Jun 19 2009, 12:42 AM) is it possible to buy Blackberry from any telco without subscribing to their contract? I don't think so. Yes you can but you have to inform the telco to release the PIN for use with another telco. If they do it properly, there is no hassle. If not, when you try to use it on another telco, they'd tell you that the PIN has not been released by the previous telco, etc etc etc. As per the reply above, yes, you'd also have to pay a little more.
