Kaspersky still loses to NIS in terms of speed such as scanning, updating virus database , computer start up. NIS FTW!!
I switched to NIS 2009 from KIS 2009 and never looked back. My next option for better speed and detection rate is only ESET Smart Security 4 NOD 32.
