Say the closing price a day before is 1.00 and they declare 10c div, so the ex-date price will be 0.90 ?
I'm thinking of buying Gopeng, in which they've declared dividend ex-date to be tomorrow ?
Is it a good idea, since it's just one day before ex-date ?

Or do I look around for companies declaring dividends in the near future, rather than those declaring it tomorrow?

let say what you guys are doing now, bought at 0.90, then the index falls down to 0.50 and you buy at 0.50 again. So at this point, all your shares are bought at 0.50 and 0.90 respectively right?

If you are going to sell at 0.70, can you select those shares bought at 0.50 to be sold first? Or is it on "first bought first sold" basis?
