Adding this and that, make minor improvements.
Avanza is NOT Grand Livina - it does not drives like a sedan, Do NOT expect to change that with modding.
I drives a 1.3 Avanza and I have friends that makes changes like those and honestly only minor improvement.
If your Avanza only carries 2 people including you, expect it to bounce "like a rabbit" on the highway.

Avanza is not 100% built like a MPV, it does have the characteristic but its suspension is that of a van/lorry.
It was the cheapest 7 seater MPV around at that time, very soon to be challenge by Perodua MPV.

Ask you father/parent to trade it in for the Perodua MPV.

Buddy,
Suspension does the trick. There are options posted here from cheap to expensive.

Cheapest: Get a mechanic to replace your stock shock fluid with thicker suspension fluid.
Next: Change to stiffer aftermarket shocks front and rear.
Next: Full set suspension spring and shocks front and rear.
Next: Add stabilizer bar and tower struts for cornering stability...

Hope this helps.

I think you guys misinterpret his problem. I think what he actually meant was not about stability/comfort in cornering. His main problem is the bumpiness felt when driving the car alone or with his GF.. hehe.
A lot of people actually complained about avanza being bumpy.. well... I agree as well that there isn't really a real solution to it.. you need weight to counter the bumpy..

here's a cheaper way to solve your problem.. mayb you load your mom's old washing machine in the back of the avanza.. then go for a spin.. should cut down some of the bumpy issue? lol laugh.gif

do remember to fasten the washing machine to the car though.. would'nt want the washing machine to be a pinball inside the car when you bump..

If not mistaken the avanza is using leaf spring at the rear? That bumpiness is common issue lah cos its meant to carry stuff, as in designed for load and not so much priority is given to comfort tongue.gif

Stuff people do can range from taking out a leaf from the spring ...

his title written there " How to make avanza more stable ? "

he himself misleading us , moreover , once u change to lowered springs and shocks it will give you "firm" feeling , you want to get rid of "jump like rabbit" feel then you have to change to stiffer spring of course... common sense smile.gif

The Perodua MPV is expected in Nov 2009 but there are some that said Sep 2009. The price is below S70000, some put it at $66000.
From the pictures I had seen, it is a stiff challange to Exora.
It is smaller than Exora, some said Avanza size with a 1.5cc engine.

Search the web for the pictures and you would like it.
Do mot spend your money on changing Avanza parts, same it for Perodua MPV.
When we buy a car, it should be what we expect and not trying changing it to something else.
You know what I mean if you see those people who tried to change the Wira into Evo.

Well just ask your parents, Perodua MPV or Toyota Vios.
Since the Avanza belongs to them, they have the final say.
There is a reason for them to get Avanza in the first place.
