Just bought these at LY Viewnet
e-TRAYz @ RM429
Xtreamer USB Wifi @ RM95
2x 2TB WD @ 2 x RM419
No credit card charges for the price above.

Now configuring it with 4TB.

The quick guide in the box is so bad. Broken england everywhere.

Instructions on How to open the front cover to put in the hardisk is bad. I couldn't figure out. Ended up, found the solution via youtube's ppl unboxing video.

Samsung 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB 5400rpm are good choice because they create less heat compare to others. WD green not recommended because we face 3 cases of sudden lost data and cannot be recovered. Very scary. Even some NAS manufacturers also not recommend WD green.

If you have download the e-trayz 1.06 firmware, don't install it as it is removed and reason per the admin>

Apparently R&D need to tweak a few things urgently and they took the files down. I will update you as soon as I have any news.

No one has an idea? Regret using Raid 0. Now I have 4TB of data not sure whether can get it out. Even If yes, it would cost me another 2x2TB just to copy it out sad.gif

I wonder who is the supplier or is there any support for etrayz in Malaysia cry.gif

RAID i dont think so but just give it a try or best choice is to find another etrayz/xtpro or dual slot toaster/dockers that can do raid 0

only way that is possible is to get another Etrayz as it reads the same format in the HDD. If the HDD is 100% ok, it should be able to retain the data inside it.

Xt Pro do not read XFS format nor our normal Windows.

I checked with E-Trayz official forum, and the moderator said it won't work by getting another Etraz and pluggin the hdd in.

This is quite bad news. Imagine the trouble to get the data out. I have to buy extra hdd, extra usb external hdd...

I guess this is a lesson, not to use NAS. If it is PC, at least I can get the replacement parts. Now the problem with Etraz, that is not the case.

Regret max.
