Most of my music collection are ripped in Apple Lossless audio format (ALAC) stored in iMac via external HDD, may I know if XtreamerPro can support ALAC as I did not see ALAC in XtreamerPro's spec.

If ALAC is not supported, any possibility it will be supported in future firmware update? Currently I am using Squeezebox as my audio network media player connected to HIFI, it's good if XtreamerPro can be a backup device for audio besides video network media player.

Reasons for restrictions are (in-part) due to: Prohibitive licensing costs, copyright restrictions, over-all popularity, proprietary (closed) format, legalities, etc.

I am not fully disappointed as we may still have hope based on the notes on the above link given by soulquarianz.

Guys, slightly out of topic. I wanna ask about lossless formats. Since so many of them, which are the ones more popular or acceptable across AV devices?

I am having this problem with my standard Xtreamer using scart connection. It's not just on the start screen but also on menus. Has been like this since I got it. To my eye it's least flickery on 720P 60Hz which is strange as my TV is not high def. My firmware is 2.4.3.

Cheers,

Mike

next time unplug the internall HDD (or plug in your xtreamer directly to your pc) and put it in toaster then use esata or usb to transfer much faster...in my wireless setup max speed i got around around 3MB/s...

the problem is with the realtek wireless chipset. this is a "known" issue for almost all realtek product.

i got mine from seller of Digital Mall, PJ.
as i remember, some member here got if from low yatt too.

regarding to transfer speed, currently i had to use usb drive. its a hassle but not much choice left. wifi is not even an option cause it too slow as usually end up failed. my N router and xtreamer is around 5 meter apart. maybe when i'm moving to new house then i will setup proper connection. maybe using RJ45

I just want to ask the same q b4! Even the beta for next upgrade still not release yet.
Further more, does the xtreamer has scart connection. mine is Xpro which i'm sure doesn't has scart connection.

Hi.
I bought xtreamer pro. Could anyone let me know how to connect it to my avr? I read from the xtreamer manual, 5.1 sound output is using optical cable.

Can I choose to connect using hdmi cable and still get the same effect of 5.1 surround sound?

Please help. Thanks
