Let me correct that.  icon_idea.gif

I'm happy with co-oping with members in KGM, for like almost 2 years already?
*
Great news. There will be co-op campaign. I think up to 8 human players. But it is shown as future mode as in they will patch it in. Check the bottom third.

QUOTE
We have to announce that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13, 2011. While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve.

My plan to spend the holiday playing Red Orchestra 2 is ruined!!!!

This is what they have to say about the delay.

http://www.heroesofstalingrad.com/faq/2-we...elay-to-30-sep/

QUOTE
We knew people would be unhappy about the delay – and we agonized over whether we should do it or not. Someone has already drawn the parallel on the forums: our earlier games have only really hit a real volume of users after launch. We know it is bad timing, after starting the pre-purchase last week. But the response brought home that the pre-purchase beta phase isn’t going to have 100s of people in it, with a few servers – it is going to have potentially 10s of 1000s of people in it. Which is obviously great news. But it IS a Beta (it isn’t some “marketing/PR Beta” with the game finished 2 months ago) – and the large volume of people WILL throw up odd and weird little bugs that only come to light in bulk testing. Code and QA want the chance to fix that stuff before we actually release the finished product.
So people understand, internally no dates are being pushed back. Everything will still be finished to the same dates as for the original release date. What we are doing is buying ourselves 2 extra weeks of QA and bug-fix time.
We haven’t released dates of the next phases of the Beta testing, but they aren’t far away. We already have the first of the press in the Beta, with a “preview” phase for the press scheduled to run over the next couple of weeks or so. After that, we’ll be ready for the final phase of the beta, with the pre-purchasers getting their hands on the game.
We haven’t taken this decision lightly: moving a release date late in the day is a nightmare. We’ve done it because we feel it will make a difference to the product on launch day – for the better, obviously. Moving a schedule that involves a large (for us) marketing budget, physical production and distribution to the retailers across the glove, as well as disappointing the fans who have waited a long time for this game, isn’t easy. But in this case, we feel it will be worth the pain.

Ok now that they said the beta will be playable until the game ships. Safe to say we can expect a 3-weeks long beta. So yeah we'll still be able to play the game on National Day, just that in form of beta (if you pre-order the deluxe version).

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...230&postcount=9

So do we need list of players? You know to keep track of how many local players will there be. I'll start. To clarify digital deluxe edition = DDE.

lowyat nick - version (to know whether in beta or not: DDE/Standard) - steamid (if you want to put)

1.hakimix - DDE
2.XFX Omar122 - DDE
3.fat cat - DDE
4.Abyssio - DDE
5. Blackops981 - Standard

Im thinking of pre ordering RO2 too as I'm canceling my BF3 pre order and find a cheaper place to get BF3. then, can use my 40usd for RO2.
*
Are you in Malaysia or Australia now? If you buy from Aussie you'll get the low-violence version (without dismemberment). Same if you buy it from Germany. But if your version are bought elsewhere you'll get the game in full glory (or was it gory? heh). So yeah maybe get someone to gift to you if you're in those two countries.

So Abyssio can you put the list of players in OP?

How is this game guys? any1 in d beta? cant really find a detail review on this game. btw, if its like MW gameplay, im out. i hope it is more realistic like BC2 gun recoil.
*
The game lies between Arma-realistic and Battlefield-arcadish gameplay. But no worries there are boot camp in there for you to practice and there is a relaxed realism mode too. So new players can get used to the game with ease.

Alrite, will pre-order this on next week.
btw, d beta end on 30 August? n d beta is on-going at the moment right?
*
The pre-order beta is not even started yet. The only ongoing beta is for friends and family of Tripwire. The release date is pushed back to 13th September but the beta will be going as planned. The definite date for beta is not set yet but I think it will be on the 23rd August. I think so because we supposed to get the beta before 30th August so the beta will at least run for one week. But now we got 2 more weeks of beta-testing as Tripwire want to release the game in non-buggy state. We can play the beta until the game ships according to the devs. So expect at least 3 weeks of beta-testing.

Hopefully we can play earlier than 23rd.

Oh and the guy who compose the soundtrack for Mass Effect will be composing for this one.

This will be fun if there are many player.
btw, got DS 1 right?

Maximum is 64 players. The map is big especially tank battle maps. Yes and you can play 32 tanks vs 32 tanks if you want to as you can let the AI control some of the work like driving etc. Or you can use tanks with teammates.

Well I already asked Abyssio to update the OP with players list. Put your name if it's not been listed yet. Try to confirm whether you want to donate for server or not. We could put a different mode like relaxed realism for this server.

Actually I've been playing Red Ochestra Ostfront 41-45 since 2009, I remember have been actively playing in a server hosted in SG, no doubt they will be back for RO2. Custom map is what makes this game worth it.
*
Well yeah I played a match in Berlin (custom map) that we have to fall back from Reichstag and defend Brandenburg Gate then fall back defending the boulevard. Playing as Volkssturm really gives a feeling that you're defending this city of yours from the Soviets. We held out until the Soviets have no reinforcements left.

user posted image

But not as epic as the one match where as Germans (yeah I like to play them) we have to storm a wide open snowy field to 3 bunkers that are defended by Soviets. Most of us die after been cut down by the MGs then with 5 minutes left on the clock one after another the bunker fell to our hands. We pushed to the 2nd line, this time it's been easier. So we have like 2 and a half minutes left to capture the last point, Headquarters. Grenades everywhere but we push through but not enough players in the control point. Finally with 15 seconds almost everyone of us are in the control point, mowing every Soviets who deny us. We won the match with 5 seconds left. What makes it more exhilarating was the Soviets counting down to timer only to lose. The comeback makes the match memorable that's for sure.
