After playing online games for all these years, i can safely say in this god forsaken region, only mega block-busters ala CoD, battlefield get to have a healthy player count. Any other games will simply get leftout and do not have the player count to sustain a good online experiance. I never imagined the game will gain popularity as the like of big publisher's AAA title.

But time has changed. I believe with the words of mouth and good indie faith even games like Minecraft will get a local dedicated server. I cannot gauge how well the game will sell and i really looking forward to see the game's popularity after release. I cant wait to see the number of dedicated server on SEA/Asia/Austrailia region. Still i wont be utterly devastated if the game doesnt turned out as popular as i hope.

That said the future of RO2 in this region shouldnt be that bleak. With free dedicated server support (unlike ea's official server rentals), free content updates, mod supports (total convertion mods), bot support and rocking developers the game can easily outdo KF's popularity. With players able to put up with server rentals, paid dlcs and buggy games nowadays it kinda up the chances for RO2. Again i cant wait to see how the game goes.
*
Im just worried that all the servers are in Australia again, than hosted in Malaysia, as Malaysians probably just go to CoD again, or maybe some to BF. Other than that, we have pretty much nothing at all.

The thing that made it worse is all the SEA ISP are releuctant to host any ISP level servers. Most Australia ISP are pretty fine with providing some servers for the games that people play, than rather depending on someone to host a server. Would be nice if Low Yat could provide some serves.

KF was fun, but im hoping that there is a consistent local community.

Gaming in Malaysia just sucks, IMO.

How is this game guys? any1 in d beta? cant really find a detail review on this game. btw, if its like MW gameplay, im out. i hope it is more realistic like BC2 gun recoil.
*
I'm assuming it's more realistic than battlefield with proper ballistic physics, a cover system like GoW and large maps.

Only seen some cam vids so I can't really say much but I like the cover system and the sniping so far. The tank is pretty amazing too as you get to be in the interior of the tank that is 3D with different players taking up different roles like driver, commander etc.

Definitely unlike MW.

Reposting this here because I've heard you guys like savings, and it activates on Steam so, yeah.
For easy copying, the code is: 20PEC-FACEB-SAVER
With the code, the regular edition of Red Orchestra 2 is $27.16 (regular $33.95)
The Digital Deluxe edition is $33.96 (regular $42.45)
This code works for any purchase as far as I know.

Thanks, now I need to find a copy of BF3 for 40aud.

Are you in Malaysia or Australia now? If you buy from Aussie you'll get the low-violence version (without dismemberment).  Same if you buy it from Germany. But if your version are bought elsewhere you'll get the game in full glory (or was it gory? heh). So yeah maybe get someone to gift to you if you're in those two countries.
*
Yea, im in australia, so im probably getting the crap version.

However, i think they are passing the law of having R18+ games so, this game might get through without any censorship.

GMG, im coming!!!

you sure Australia is passing that law already?

If this game has the Russian PPSH-41 gun, I might get it.  wub.gif

Just recently, every states attorney general have agreed with R18 ratings. Finally.

$27 seems alright for me, but i am probably getting BF3, Skyrim and The Run on day 1.

Might be spending a bit too much in a short time.

Hi guys,

I'm based in Singapore and I'm here to tell you that we have well over 20+ players already from various communities and forums confirmed. Similar pc gaming communities in Singapore and the Philippines have already pre ordered the game and are looking forward for some RO2 action when it hits.

Also we will be getting servers hosted in Singapore and Japan confirmed. smile.gif

Look forward to playing with the Malaysian pc gaming community!

Thats good, that means i can safely pre-order without worrying on the community size.

Actually I've been playing Red Ochestra Ostfront 41-45 since 2009, I remember have been actively playing in a server hosted in SG, no doubt they will be back for RO2. Custom map is what makes this game worth it.
*
Pretty much like KF.

Custom maps made the game really fun.

They got it before but now it has been taken down so it's not available anymore. So bad luck to those who get it after they have taken it down. But hey who cares about hats right? :nervous laugh:

doesnt sound realistic to me.

anyway, is this game anything close to the first RO? showing bullet trajectory, bullet drop.

i heard from RO players saying its a BFBC2 clone set on WW2 and without destructable enviroments
*
No way man, Tripwire's shooting mechanism is one of the best.

Even shooting a gun in KF is already by far different than BC2.

Just wondering, can anyone check how many Aussie servers are up for now? And also, how many SEA servers do we have now?

This video pretty much convinced me to buy it.

Yeah thats what I was thinking at first. Only proper gaming retail shop I know of over here is EB.

Oh ozgameshop retail is delivery eh? Not from the shop itself?
*
Yeap, its delivery.

I bought a few times from them, like Witcher 2, Brink, Dragon Age Ultimate Edition, Bad Company 2 and so on. They are reliable.

If you are in Aus, i do recommend ozgameshop to you.

It is.

On normal difficulty, one AI did a sneak melee attack on me. I expect to die, instead I just watched him crouch walk into a corner and cover, in front of me.

My frain is full of buck.

Best AI ever. thumbup.gif
