Mods!
Tripwire is supporting mods even before the game is released. Here are some mods in the works:
In the Country
Iron Europe

And here is a community-developer project, Rising Storm
Tripwire invited a group of talented modders back in Ostfront, and gave them the dev tools for this project. Depending on how the mod goes, if the mod turns out very well Tripwire may take the helm and polish it for commercial release. And the modders will be given credit and financial compensate for the success!

on the pc?
lolwut?

Well that's what i know from the PC gamer article. Probably like the 1st person blindfire/cover system in Killzone 2. There's no 3rd person view so it would be a true "blind" firing.

It also showcase a lot of realism mechanics, a great demonstration video.

Some cool news during GDC, Tripwire said Red Orchestra ONE already recouped its cost from pre-orders.

Source from PC Gamer

Red Orchestra 2 got a booth in this year's GDC, hopefully we'll have more videos and details release to the public soon.

Correction: its the first one not the second.

That is not pre order for RO 2. IT was for the first game.

yeah it suppose to be the first one. Still its not too bad for a niche game that came out in 2006 and sold on Steam only.

Don't know got anyone playing or not. That's what I'm worried.

After playing online games for all these years, i can safely say in this god forsaken region, only mega block-busters ala CoD, battlefield get to have a healthy player count. Any other games will simply get leftout and do not have the player count to sustain a good online experiance. I never imagined the game will gain popularity as the like of big publisher's AAA title.

But time has changed. I believe with the words of mouth and good indie faith even games like Minecraft will get a local dedicated server. I cannot gauge how well the game will sell and i really looking forward to see the game's popularity after release. I cant wait to see the number of dedicated server on SEA/Asia/Austrailia region. Still i wont be utterly devastated if the game doesnt turned out as popular as i hope.

That said the future of RO2 in this region shouldnt be that bleak. With free dedicated server support (unlike ea's official server rentals), free content updates, mod supports (total convertion mods), bot support and rocking developers the game can easily outdo KF's popularity. With players able to put up with server rentals, paid dlcs and buggy games nowadays it kinda up the chances for RO2. Again i cant wait to see how the game goes.
