So , you did actually believe what TM said eh ?

Well , i had enough from TM with their bull-dong promises .

I HAD ENOUGH !

I paid RM88 for about 4 years for this SHITTY SERVICES !

That suppose to give me 1Meg of Speed !

But in return , what the fcuk i got ?

A slow and unstable shitty line and stupid frequent disconnection and Stupid IP Range ...

TM wont do anything , if no one stand up and fcuk them !

TM just will slowly eat up all your $$$$$$$ and makes you pay for their lousy arse services .

ok..i am back after a week long of exams... thumbup.gif

i just took a look at the document..and i want to ask..who are we going to pass the document to?if it is to the corporate bodies like the gomen, its a bit informal..

I will note the some of the corrections i feel should be changed...(subject to moderation..)

ISPs are now still aggressively advertising and attempting to attract more customers when nothing is done to first upgrade their system to handle/(cope with) the influx of new users, which causes degradation to the current existing users speed.

The thing is, almost 90% of websites surfed and places we legally download from are international websites, which leads to complaints as to why the internet is slow. Achieving 1mbps for a speedtest to Kuala Lumpur is no great achievement, since its basically as if an intra connection.(provide an brief explanation of intranet at the bottom of the page)

i still need time to process the remaining paragraph...i just woke up after a long sleep...laugh.gif

and it would be much better if other plans are included as well to demonstrate the effects of the good and bad ip...and i also noticed that speedtest does not have IP display..hmm.gif

pm aso cannot attach the file....
and i just wanna ask..do u guys want to put a brief analysis of the problem?? and do u think we can get the users who did the speed test to try and get the IP address during the testing...so we can conclude on the existence of prioritized groups of IPs..

these troops in the pic died right??

QUOTE(dafreak @ Jun 27 2009, 08:54 PM)
it is not easy since speedtest doesnt show ip..another thing..certain areas only will get certain ip..like my place for example, i dont think i can get other ip other than 115.133, if it was last year i still can other ips like 118.100, 118.101 & 124.13
*
thats why....if we can put the IP inside...we can show unfair groups of IP.. nod.gif

QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 27 2009, 09:27 PM)
seriously wanna put the IP? its bloody hard to prove IP bias, because the we simply dont have the sample needed to do so. sure we have a lot of /k/ members but last time also onli at most 20 people did it? and its hardly a sufficient sample to prove anything
*
if we dont put in ip..we cannot put or justify ip bias in the documentation

ok....guys listen......
for the speed test.....its best if we have to following (in my opinion lar..)
1) different plans (if we can put 1Mbps,2Mbps and 4Mbps)
2) different test times (1am, 7am, 9am, 3pm, 5pm, 6pm, 10pm...for speed degradation at peak periods.)

since we wont be putting ip bias, we wont need ip to be placed in...

i am also noob.....and since i got 1 week free before my final year last sem starts...might as well help out..

I have gone through the report uploaded by baronic, and it's something I bet the people at Star Tech knew long ago. It's just very basic info of how the line might get affected (eg: the copper line thing) and tests not detailed enough.

In my humble opinion, I suggest:

Get a control test. Round up /k/ armies according to their area, and do the speed test again, but this time include more detailed information instead of just the end result. Like individual IP number with date/time of test, targeting screamyx specific routing server, or host.

Here's a random set of hosts I identified, which were visitors to my blog.
67.101.49.60.klj04-home.tm.net.my
106.68.49.60.klj04-home.tm.net.my
235.168.48.60.cbj06-home.tm.net.my
156.189.48.60.cbj01-home.tm.net.my
203-59-190-136.dyn.iinet.net.au (not screamyx lulz)

That will narrow down how the line was distributed in an area. No matter how dynamic your IP can be, it will still go through the same host before you can connect to other things.

Other info like weather condition, router/modem model, could help paint the bigger picture better. Like a group test of Cheras during rain versus Banting sunny day. Something like that.

After that, do the same control test with P1, as a comparison.

To demand better service, concrete evidence of the current sucky service must be shown. Get the raw data ready and cook up some real info, and screamyx will shit brix once you bring it up to the press (provided the press actually does press it).

Else, be an internet hero and blog about it.

p/s: I might be wrong with the tech-info, you might want to double check on it.
