QUOTE(veekster @ Jun 11 2009, 01:53 PM) Maybe the JB process has corrupted telco data? Try connecting it to iTunes and see what happens? I remember whenever I do an iPhone restore, iTunes will prompt for an update on the telco data. I believe the telco data gives information and parameter for localization of the iPhone's GSM radio. |

QUOTE(veekster @ Jun 11 2009, 05:09 PM) Do try with another telco simcards and see if the issue still persist. Another thing you can do is to proceed with a "Reset Network Settings". Btw, just check if your iMEI number it's available. We did jailbreak an iPhone with the network ''searching'' and it has no IMEI number. Replace the SIM. I had a problem when my SIM went kaput as well, although the iPhone plainly rejected it saying it was a damaged SIM. |

Head over to Maxis centre and change your current Maxis simcard to the latest. That would be the best bet. Cheers |

That would be the best bet. if my memory serves me well, the SIM card replacement will be free of charge, if you are under post paid and an additional RM10 for hotlink users.Cheers however, if you can justify that the SIM card was faulty, i suppose they can waive it off for you. i have done that before and it is at the discretion of the person serving you. QUOTE(veekster @ Jun 11 2009, 07:09 PM) as most of the customer service consultants are ladies, make sure that you put on your sunday best attire and work your charm (if you desperate to waive off the RM10)good luck! |
