how come the stock tyre in Kia forte 17 inch is so lousy?
Any recommendation what tyre to change to fully absorb potholes/bump?

Drive through bump also no feeling.

???? haha ??? u can't choose much... the 17" most of the thin tires (low profile tires) is like that...
if you want comfort try to use Michelin Primacy LC, Toyo C1S or Toyo T1R or Toyo DRB... find those whom has softer sidewall so it can absorb more bumps...

*** ya you can try GY F1 Asy also... but it is only available at 45 series and below... 215/45 R17 is just in the list...

if that is not enough, then u need to downgrade to 16" as some ppl did also for their Pug 308 also...

Q1. How about : Continental Comfort Contact CC5 205/60/16? The stock from inspira quite good.
Q2. Can i use a 16 inch tyre on 17in rim?
Q3. Or any Michelin PS3 that fits? PS3 doesnt seem to have 60 for 16 inch

Q1 : Try Bridgestone GR90, Yokohama C Drive or new C Drive 2, Toyo C1S or CT01 those are better ones... CC5 is only entry level... others is like 1~2 step above them...

try to fit you Inspira with better tires then you can really see the potential... CC5 is replacement of CC1 it is a normal tires which does not even suitable for spirited driving... grip is no good, handling is no good...

Q2 : cannot... need to follow back the size...

Q3 : don have all PS3 only available at 55 and below... 60 is XM1 or Primacy LC already

The only reason why i was opting for CC5 is because when i test drive Inspira, which came with 16inch CC5 and it was so comfort.
When i ran into bump/potholes , you can barely feels anything.

I am not sure which tyre can give the same feeling. Or i shall look for 215/60/R16, i suspect is the 60 sidewall height that absorbs all the bumps

Im looking for both comfort and fuel saving

Should i

A) Change the 5 sets of tyre and 5 sets of rims into 16inch? If yes do they accept trade in?

B) Just change the tyre to 215/60/R17 and remain the rim.

Doing A or B still meets both my requirement above?
