is there any tyres size 185/60/R14 that can last long? put aside its performance, but not safety

Iswara with 175/70/R13... Gah!!!! XM1 (19/08) soon botak again.. crap... Too much cornering + sliding + speeding + brakes = poor tyres

not sure what to get for my tyres now.. feel like getting less painful to the ass brands.. but any recommendations? allocated budget RM500-RM550 range for 4 donuts... or maybe change 2 units (so therefore could afford better ones) first then another 2 later >.<... Really pokai d after so many thing... Grr

i do not think Michelin has ur size leh... sorry no much to search about from ur size but u can try to ask around. as for that size also not much good performance tire...

is it necessary for us to change the camber everytime we go to do the alignment.
or, it just another way for the shop to chop our head?

i got very limited knowledge in this alignment+balancing stuff, they told me will change to the adjustable camber which cost xxx, then those bla bla bla~~

feel like being cheated.... hmmm...

they said if dun change, later the alignment will easily "gone", then this... then that...
sound so serious...

but actually if doesn't really impact much even if we do the alignment without changing the camber, rite?

i just got conned/advised by one shop into installing the camber nuts, total is rm70 for both side.

will the tyre damaged faster by this camber nut? any consequences?

i mean, since its adjustable, so, after driving and wear and tear, the nut will loosen faster and causing me extra money for adjustment fee during balancing& alignment?

i read about this camber nut con story long ago, but i'm tempted to see if there is a difference in it. or maybe the shop guy too good in talking.

my car pull to left side since 1st day from factory. it seems like able to fix that problem, not sure if its just my own imagination.

camber nut is where the tyre / alignment shop made the most. a piece of camber nut alone could cost as much as 45 bucks 
but camber nut does work in some way; it help in holding the suspension / lower arm in the best possible way. thus eliminate the
one side tyre wear problem or car can't go straight while the steering is in straight position.
camber nut help in protecting your tyre wear by distributing the wear evenly.
avoid going through pot holes when the adjustment is still on camber nut. it may caused the nut to bend thus alignment might change.

btw, in some case, worn out steering bush / drive shaft / lower arm bush does contribute to the unstable ride

Currently i am sourcing 4 new tyres, size 185/50/R14.

I'm comparing between Michelin XM1, Pirelli P3000 & open to other recommended brand, like Yokohama.

most of the time i'm driving @ highway, hence comfort is my major concern.

Pls advice.

my right rear tire was punctured by small nail...so sayang, i just finish breaking in these tire

i then sent it to tire shop to repair,

the worker there just plug the area with rubber plug only, i ask him why he didn't seal on innerside, he then claim the punctured is so small, rubber plug is enough,

so what do u guys think... 

huh! xm1 at 235 is a worst buy. ps3 cost in the region of 250. just add a little bit and get a ps3.
both tyre are 2 world apart. xm1 has the worst grip in wet.
being a uhp, ps3 is noisier than xm1 of course but it made up more more with it's better grip and traction. doesn't matter if it's in wet or dry.

I'm looking forward to change my car's shock absorbers and tyres this coming weekend. I'm driving old Wira 1.6 Aeroback.

For the shock, I got offered Kayaba, Sakata and Sachs from the workshop that I usually visit, from few forumers feedback, I will take Sachs since most recommending it

As for the tyres, I been using Yokohama A-Drive now and was quoted RM175 / piece from the workshop including balancing and alignment. Rascal Stitch then recommending me Michelin XM1 which a slightly top-up from the price I was quoted for the A-Drive.

I'm just seeking more opinion here, which would be a better pick for me? A-Drive or XM1? I frequently drive on the highways.

I called my formen and he advised me not to take XM1 due to the (yin yang) patterns which will not convenient if wanted/needed to switch tyres or exchanging sides next time. How well should I take his advise?

He is using Proton Saga LMST..
Currently using stock tyre which is Goodyear : 185/60R14..

Now he plan to change new tyre..?
Should he stick with the current brand or opt to better brands like Michelin..
His budget is around RM200 per tyre..

Finally I have narrow down my choices ..

Here we go :

2. Goodyear DuraPlus
3. Goodyear Ducaro GA

Guys,I'm planning to change my 12" tyre to 14",what kind of measurement tyre I need for my viva and how much around the price per piece? I'm planning to take 4 pieces.

Why you will see me more in repair rims ?  , if I get 13" rims size then you won't see me ? 

I'm serious in changing my rims and tyre leh. Some of my friend that ask me go Klang to scout around,you interested to follow me go Klang and see around and tembak those not experience foreman or not ? 

My friend got 1 sets of rims with tyre only for RM 350 and Klang workshop , 14" rims size and 40% thread tyre,after he bought,he bought again another new tyre and fit in 

currently using size saga blm stock goodyear ducaro..
if want update which is recommended ? prefer comfort than performance.
or it is better to upgrade to size 15 ?
