what is your ride? was your falken fk452 made in indonesia?
directional tread tyre as in fk452 should be quite capable on wet. perhaps,  tyre was below optimum temperature during rain  hmm.gif
last time while using the same tyre for a couple of months, i noticed the grip is lessened at the end of a touge ride to cameron.
in my case, could be tyre heat up problem.

Currently using following.

Front - 245/35ZR19
Rear - 275/35ZR19

Not sure if made in Indon though, I think my friend just had a bad experience with the tyre (his car flipped over during cornering).

I'm going to need a new set of tyres soon, might look for something else if FK's really bad when wet cause.. our country.. rain every other day...

those made in indonesia ones was quite inferior.
btw, i'll ditch fk452 anytime on performance car. goodyear gs3 or assymetric is fine. or toyo t1r / yokohama s.drive for the directional tread.
no doubt, fk452 is quiet for a directional tread pattern but that's not be all and all. grip and traction is fundamental.

How about the Toyo T1R compared to the R1R? Saw some tire reviews rating the R1R pretty high?

Also, was looking around for the RE070, but they seems to be discontinued?

I called my formen and he advised me not to take XM1 due to the (yin yang) patterns which will not convenient if wanted/needed to switch tyres or exchanging sides next time. How well should I take his advise? unsure.gif

I think tyre rotation is something that we all do on regular basis no? I know I rotate my tyres every 3~4 months.

at least, sime astar 3000 is slightly better in wet than ducaro and silverstone m3/m5 at those price  smile.gif
btw, no compromise in safety. getting a better tyre is always the best option.

+ 1

Tyres are the only part of your car that actually have contact with the road.... people who go for cheaper tyres boggles my mind...

MK5GTI but the recommended by manufacturer is 35/35. i read in the forums to compensate the softness of the PS3 they pumped 37,39,40psi. same car

Whoa! I have never seen a car pump so high psi before. I'm using FK452 and is pumping 33/33. This tyre got soft sidewalls also ah?
