change to 205/45 R16 for more choices... if not mistaken Hankook V12 got this size and it is cheap should be lower than RM300/pc... u want others cheaper tires, then u might get back the quality of normal tires not really UHP tires...

nice but noisy tires you got there.
as suggested by micheal, you should try evo v12 if its available in that size.
if your rubber valve worn out, better change it to steel type.
nitrogen gas usually lighter and can maintain the tire pressure longer than oxygen.

well there is pros and cons using nitrogen gas... the pressure increase is minimal impact, about 2~3psi in average... but in return u need to find a shop with nitrogen to refill everytime and u need to pay RM1 minimal for all 4 tires or some charged RM1/tire...

if the car still run straight line with hands off the steering, there is no need for an alignment. unless the suspension changed.
wheel balancing should be foc.

btw, installed the Thunderer tires yesterday morning for testing purpose. covered 278km. feels like running on semi-slick. just kidding tongue.gif
noise level is okay for a new tire. quite promising but need to wait till tire fully run-in. no chance to whack it in wet yet.

Hi, wanna ask for 185/60/14 tyre any recommendation?

Read through many threads, seems like Michelin Energy XM1 and Falken 912 is highly rated.

Any other brand to recommend? My requirement for tyre is towards comfort rather than performance, which is silent, this is my top priority.

Currently my BLM stock tyre is Silverstone M3 175/70/13, noisy like hell, and i felt the tyre itself is damn hard, can't even absorb the vibration due to rough road surface, how do you think? Can't tahan anymore, plan to change next year after CNY.

yes both of this tires is recommended... but for those entree level tires u still can get others brand like Yokohama A Drive or even Goodyear Ducaro GA...
but Michelin XM1 is nice for comfort, price is a bit steep though...

How much for your Thai tire? What model you bought?

Edited:
Anyway, I thought the Traction rating (A, AA ) are depend on the manufacturer themselves? Cos personally I tested AA and A rated tire, the A rated performs better than the AA sweat.gif

Like I said, i think is the factory rated it themselves, I was running semi-slick all the times and changed to street tire recently biggrin.gif
Anyway, the AA and A I talked about, I was comparing Yokohama and Federal and Toyo.

AceCombat@

was the Thunderer Mach III. sub 200 bucks for testing purpose.
and semi-slick sux in wet. even worst on our road condition. also, shorter tread wear lifespan. not practical for daily use.
that's why am only using slick / semi-slick during hot track day.

btw, be more specific when comparing tires. do not based on brand. go for specific model instead; ie; S.drive, 595, R888 and so on.
Yokohama, Federal and Toyo is a brand. and there are few model under each brand which cater for different market segment smile.gif

michelin xm1 vs bridgestone ar10

wat is d different in term of
1)comfort = XM-1
2)quiteness = XM-1
3)fc = depending on your right foot
4)grip = almost equal

btw, XM-1 = made in Thailand while AR10 made in Indonesia?

sniper69@
should be rm40 for a used tires on that size tongue.gif .
make sure to check the tread and manufacturer's date.
