in fact, most of the tire shop are using the same tactic. their bad way of 'milking' money from n00bie buyer.

btw, anyone can share places of where we can pump with nitrogen gas around kl and selangor area?

seriously, you can't have both. most of the performance tire provide a good handling but there is a sacrifice in term of silence due to the tread pattern and material.
but you could try continental sports contact series, goodyear f1 asymmetric or even the michelin ps3(with slightly higher pressure).
budget option is falken ze-912. just stay away from directional tread pattern.

Thanks bro, but i heard the falken tires all made in Indonesia and the price drop like hell because of the quality issue..is that true? what about Michelin primacy? ps3 too expensive...

i know the falken 522 which had the worst grip was made in indonesia. not so sure about others like ze-912 , fk4xx series and st115.
haven't use falken for ages.
michelin primacy is a comfort and quiet tire. not for spirited driving.

since you're in sabah, i suggest you choose a tire with harder sidewall / shoulder and compound which suit the road structure / condition tongue.gif
dunlop d01 or the sp series is okay. if the kumho ku-31 is available there, it will be good too. was using it when am posted there a couple of years back.

Kumho is a korean made tires. Generally it come with most of the korean cars like Kia, Hyundai.

I'm currently using it as well, from previously Goodyear....feel the comfort and noise level is better than my previous tire.

comparison should be done based on tire class. ie; comfort tire against comfort tire and uhp class against the similar one.
i've heard a lot of people complaining about bridgestone re001 being not comfortable compare to continental comfort contact which is exactly two different class apart. served the different market segment as well.
