*
lor...
my saphire 4830

Sounds too luxury. Anyway now i'm running xfx hd4890 spec which quite okay but the heat, enough to burn your finger. During stress test can hit 80c. Seems like ati can't fix the heat issue.
*
thats consider better than me
my saphire 4830 idle around 48~51C
but during furmark stability test, ut reach 85C (no OC).... sweat.gif

Moral of the story :-

Don't judge the book from it cover.. biggrin.gif .... u must read it and analyze..

oh yeah... the outcome really tempting....
temperature reading :-

before
idle : 50C
load : 85~90C (furmark test)
load 75C (Age Of Empire III - all high)
GC Setting : 700/910

After
idle : 44C (idling 30 minutes after furmark test)
load : 65C max (furmark test)
load : 55C (Age of Empire III - all high)
GC setting : 700/1025....

I know i can increase gpu clock but i think thats speed already satisfy me.. unless i want to be hardcore...
memory clock.... i think limit around 1100 as im facing white dot when do furmark test.

you accidentally poison me... cry.gif

must resist.. *focus on TRUE*

anyway, my sapphire 4830 idle temp is way lower than urs (36~39 depends on ambient) sweat.gif
*
yup.. its depend on ambient as my reading take during afternoon... (my room quite hot, even i can't stay long if don't have stand fan with button no 3 pressed... biggrin.gif )...
if after heavy rain, night (cold) or just started (around 30 min)... same with urs...

oh.. dont forget.. mine already OC.. 700/1025..

humm, when at very hot afternoon, my idle temp was 40~41 laugh.gif

and my card oced to 730/930.. laugh.gif

maybe it is because my card downclock to 160/250 while idle
*
thats nice...
but i think idle is not important..
load really is...
do u try stability test with furmark...
just want to know the max temp u get....
oh yeah... r u use stock cooler...
mine already change to accelero TT....
stock cooler when test with furmark will result around 85C in 3 min (then I quit due to high risk)

p/s : i already think that my pc got temperature problem...
even my amd 7750 idle temperature is 50C and load 75 (Orthos test) sweat.gif
change to custom hsf give me idle 44C and max 55C (Orthos test)...

humm, i seriously will not stres my card with furmark , as gaming nvr really shoot that load temp laugh.gif
*
actually i think furmark is a good stress test as it realy burden our GC... If we past Furmark mean it confirm can run any game without problem... thumbup.gif
its like we use Orthos test to stress the cpu... although in reality its rare to use 100% in both core... smile.gif

guy,

currently using HD3870..thinking to upgrade to CF 2x4830
do you think it is worth it?
current market price for 4830 around RM330-350 which is 50 buck cheaper than 4770..do you think which is more worth of my money???
regarding temperature....do you think 4830 very hot??? or what it the average temperature of user having now?
*
yup...
its quite hot....
nearly 80C (test with furmark)

If OC can reach 90C (maybe more as I already stop the test) sweat.gif

Now using custom cooler...
Test furmark.. load 1hours ~ 65C
