guys...i wanna ask something here...if we normally play on a 22" wide screen monitor... what is the diff between 4870 and 5870 or 5890 then??? i bet i will be having the same FPS rite??? only if we play on a super giant monitor with high resolution and FULL HD...only it will affect rite???

from benchmarking... i see there is a significant improve from HD3870 to HD4850.  Previously i am using 3870.... and now i changed to HD4850.... but in my gaming experience....nothing much diff >< Call of duty 4,5 , Assasin Creed.... but Crysis got much improve la....other all so so only.

i got problem here,im not so pro bout all graphic,but i tink somthing wrong wit my vista,i use vista ultimate X64 bit,when i running prototype at vista,it lagg (like i use my previous gc msi 9400) even in low or high setting of detail and resolution,but i did have dual boot with Xp and running dx10,i play there, it smooth like i see review in youtube,

what the problem here?can anyone super pro help me,coz i play gta4 i my vista,it smoth in low with 0 view detail and shadow and so on,but lagg with high detail,but i see review in youtube ,they put all max in all setting and play smoothly,i havent test yet on my xp coz i required XP sp3..i onli sp2.. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

if hd4000 series card really drop to rm450 to 600 plus like that ..i think i will change my mind..maybe i will buy 2 x hd 4980.....because no worth it, hd5xxx series is DX 11 but if ur window is vista or xp ..it still will be DX 10 and 10.1....except u are changing to window 7 that support DX 11.. ... performance increase but image quality still the same as DX 10..

Hi guys, I bought the accelero S1 for my ATI 4850. Stupid of me, I forgot to check if it would fit in my Lien Li case. The width of the accelero is a little too big!


What am I going to do??? Has anyone tried sawing the accelero?

wowowowo.. hold ye horses.. u can't simply sawing it like a piece of wood. The heat pipes, it contain liquids that helps transfering the heat.. so sawing half of it, is not a good idea.. Maybe u can exhange with the twin turbo?

nah its the height sticking out. if you look at the picture i can't really bend it because there are still the 4 rods sticking out. i was thinking of taking a saw and cutting out the parts i don't need.

I don't know if pliers will do the trick, it looks like pretty tough metal.

are you sure it contains fluids. i doubt it -- its bronze metal! thats why its a full metal heat conductor -- where did you hear that there fluid in the accelero??

Added on September 4, 2009, 10:59 pmwoot, i installed it! i had to bend the pipes, and squeeze the plates; it doesn't look that pretty but at least it works!

i'm like at 40 degrees idle (80 with 55% fan before!), and load is about 70+ degrees (100 + with 100% fan before)

I can live with that because there is now ZERO annoying fan sounds coming out of my computer.
