I notice a few Streamyx users have complained of the same problem: extreme slowdowns and frequent timeouts after noon. Sites fail to load and speeds are more akin to dial-up speeds. TM Net outages are fairly common -- imagine what life would be like if our utility companies were just as awful! -- but it's curious that this is regularly occurring in the afternoon.

I'd appreciate it if forum members experiencing this could provide some feedback by providing your location as well because I'm curious whether this is a nationwide occurrence or staggered area by area. My hunch is the latter (which would indicate some upgrading exercise on TM Net's part) and I'd like to get some confirmation from others. It would be nice to have some official word from TM Net itself but anyone who's used the company's service for a while would know that this communications company is absolutely wretched when it comes to communicating with its customers.

For the record, I'm in the Banting area and I've been seeing this for the past three days.

Banting has been affected since Oct. 7.

I'm not fully confident things will improve once the school holidays begin.
