ok here's my rant..

6-aug : applied for cool unipack at tmpoint

24-aug : tm technician came to install phone line. paid RM50

6-sept : 1 month after application still no sign of streamyx. called their helpdesk to ask for application status. they said they will expedite.

6-oct : 2 months after application still no sign of streamyx. called their helpdesk to ask for application status. they said they will expedite.

21-oct : finally the streamyx technician called to setup appointment for installation. so i just simply checked on my phone line. there was no dial tone. i only hear a lady's voice telling me to settle my bill payments.


apparently my phone line has been cut for not paying the bills.
1- i thought cool unipack gets a waiver on the phone line rental
2- no bill came to my house
3- called tm and asked how much is due.. they said RM170. wtf?
i asked them for the breakdown of the bill. RM30 is for this month's phone rental. RM140 was from previous month but they don't have the breakdown because they could not see the bill from the previous months.
and this is the BILLING line that i called. zzzzzzzzz....


they said that i need to pay the phone line rental since my streamyx is not yet active.. yup.. streamyx was delayed on their part and still customer have to bear the cost.

what are the other charges of RM140? how would i know? even their BILLING support line also do not know.

and lastly they said - if i want my streamyx.. i have to settle the payment to reactivate the line.. that's just the way it is.

WOW!


i guess you can also see it like this.. APPLY for STREAMYX... 3 months later STILL NO STREAMYX... PLUS i have to PAY THEM RM220. ZZZZZZZZZZ again. (RM50 line installation + RM170 bill outstanding amount)

My UNIFI VIP5 has been hovering with download speed 300kbps to 800kbps for 3 days. Calling UNIFI for 3 days and standard answer is given. Are they again NATO = No Action Talk Only? Jeezzzzzzzzzz

if they find it so difficult to actually find a reason to provide good internet service, they should be ashamed that malaysia internet is worse than israel internet.

most tm modem are like that.

ppl complain tm modem lousy, dlink modem better so tm now source from dlink laugh.gif laugh.gif


make sure check no splitter prob
make sure you can login modem page, view some settings

then call 100 rightaway thumbup.gif
unifi must call unifi center number

reset port can now be done in 15secs, so no need to callback after reset port(except freq disc, need to monitor after reset)

get the timeframe from them to rectify;

003 xxxx xxxx - 72hrs depends on fault
other number - 24hrs depending on fault

make sure if the technician come visit, get contact and receipt @ jobsheet
if the fella shadow also never see, tell them when you callback

Hi there, need some help.

Does anyone know why my connection starts blinking EVERY SINGLE DAY at EXACTLY 7PM?

This has been happening for months. My father called them and they just tell us to restart the modem so and sos. However a few days ago I got to access the internet for up to like 10PM and then the ADSL light blinks indefinitely. Though during that time I got disconnected a few times.

My connection is almost 98% fine during the day. It's just the nighttime when things start to go awry.

I'm on my Maxis BB right now if you're wondering, the ADSL is still blinking!

Any inputs?

i just upgraded my line to unipack 1mbps, the max speed i get now is only around 100 kbps while my friend who is using the same package as mine get more speed than mine, they get around 150-170kbps, can i complain to streamyx about this also?

I faced the same problem before... I called TM.. then they made me a report and a technician came to my house (while i'm not at home... little brother settled with technician. =.=|||).. Now my speed...

i call already they say the speed is like that, very normal one, while my friend is getting 150kbps download speed doh.gif

Try reset port... I remember that when I said frequent dc to CS, due to SNR/attenuation problems. They reset my port give me 2mbps port... which allow max 1.5 mbps. But I noticed line deteriorated badly and begin to get shitty IPs. Not to mention, the SNR /Attenuation also went super haywire... Anyway, I fixed all this problem already lar few years ago... Now I get throttling problem at a web site which is legal + must pay + video streaming = Also throttle HAIH!

Seriously they are bunch of idiots who expect those using 4mb package for checking mails, surfing websites? If cant even watch LEGAL online video streaming and downloading, what for paying so MUCH for a higher speed package???

how can the maintenance capped my line from 1mbps to <512kbps vmad.gif if dc i can understand but line capping for f**k sake vmad.gif

I had a similar problem with my line - 512K Basic plan(RM99) 1.5mbps suddenly dropped to 512kbps in August. I raised this with TM was informed they were carrying out maintenance in my area and was issued a report number. On subsequent follow up calls to 2nd level support I was informed since my package was 512K there was nothing they could do and I would have to upgrade at TMPoint to 1mb.

After upgrading to 1mb the above problem remained it took nearly 8 weeks, after installation, to be resolved. A summary is as follows.

a) More than 30 telephone calls, e-mails to various departments, problem shunted to technician then different technical teams then back to technician then ...

b) My port was re-configured/reset a number of times - during which speed would sometimes be 1mb for 5 minutes to 2 hours and then revert back to 512kbps. If I reset my router/re-started my PC line speed immediately reverted to 512kbps.

c) A technician attended my premises 4 times and on each occasion informed me the problem was on TM's side. He even showed me using his account he could get whatever download speed my line was capped at and with my account 512kbps. Nevertheless after each visit the problem was recorded differently on my report and included:

i) wireless problem - I use cable and wireless is disabled on my router;
ii) problem with old router - I use the router supplied by TM and tested with my old router;
iii) problem with my account password - still haven't got a clue what this was about.

d) On 3 separate occasions I was given a definitive date when this problem would be resolved - none were met. They indicated a problem with the server side cabinet had been resolved which would resolve my problem, it didn't. Finally they re-configured the whole server side cabinet(?) and the problem was resolved.

Now after the "upgrade" my download speed has gone from 1.3mbps to 0.85mbps, since it's 80% of advertised speed there's nothing I can do.

And when they tell you they will reset your cap back to 1.5mbps after the problem is resolved - don't believe them.

I am still waiting on a reply from TM why it was necessary for me to upgrade before any action was taken on this in the first place.
