when i inserted a game disc, the menu shows "play DVD" instead of "Play Game", when i press "play DVD", nothing can be played....can anyone help? is it something to do with the firmware??

or you insert wrong disc, the additional content disc, the bonus disc or something

this happen due to your lens motor sub already dirty, thus effecting the rotating of the motor to became slower. You need to open up the dvdrom cover and you need to clean the motor sub internal part. You can google it up or search on youtube and you need to rectify your dvdrom model 1st.
