Just went for my 10000km service today. Still upset about the lack of update on the Viva Auto 1.0 drive shaft recall by Perodua, now the SC said its November instead of the original planned September recall. Hopefully P2 doesn't postpone anymore, the drive shaft sound is annoying me.
QUOTE(Mr_47 @ Oct 22 2009, 11:41 AM) Haha, they'd catch us before we even see them coming! QUOTE(tongyam @ Oct 22 2009, 12:51 PM) wow , using kenari rim ar? it that lighter than myvi one? Woah, 175?! Congrats man, but I'm scared I'll end up flying, so I'll stick with my max 160! And yes, auto gives a slight disadvantage lah with all the straight line speeds. About the rims, my front left stock rim bengkok from hitting the curb months ago, so wanted to just change that and the cap because it broke also. But when at the shop, saw these rims laying at the side newly removed from a Kelisa, couldn't help but grab them! Haha. And yes, lighter than Myvi ones, but it makes the car extremely stable at top speed, you don't get that 'wobbly' feeling anymore. btw my top speed is 175 This post has been edited by fatboythin: Oct 22 2009, 05:06 PM |

QUOTE(lznce2679 @ Oct 22 2009, 05:31 PM) Be extra careful on speeding above 175km/hr...i see dat ur ride is not lowered...bad things could happen. And through my experience...OEM brakepads wont help u brake in time... Thanks for the advice man, but yeah, I won't even go above 160km/h with it stock like this. Better safe than sorry. |

QUOTE(winshoo @ Oct 22 2009, 11:54 PM) I've booked a Viva Elite 1.0EZ and loan already approved, agreement signed over 2 weeks ago. Does it take a long time for me to get my new car? I've called the salesman for the past 1 week and he said hopefully by "this day and that day" giving me the reason "The car is still in Johor, haven't arrived KL yet". Does this sound normal? I guess its normal man. The salesman told me 1 week, then added on days after that saying JPJ reg and all slow, car releasing from factory and all that nonsense. I got mine in 2 weeks after pestering him everyday. |

Yea dude, where did you manage to get up to 175? You need quite a long stretch to even get anywhere near that speed. Location? I wanna try it out.

QUOTE(guin @ Oct 26 2009, 10:59 AM) hiya~ You mean the red '!' sign on the dash board? When its not on, you sure you pulled the handbrake all the way up? Haven't heard of anyone having this problem so far, might just be that your wiring is loose or something. Don't think its a big prob though, as long as you're sure your handbrake is working! wanna check something wif viva users. i found out that sometimes, when i pull my hand brake the indicator on the board is not on but sometimes it is on. do u guys encounter this before? izzit wiring problem on this problem? Car moves?! A little or a lot? If a lot then its not a wiring prob, that means your brake isn't working properly even if you pull it all the way up. Better go get that checked out asap!

First three times go to Perodua SC because of the free labour charge. But after thats done with, its cheaper to go to a normal shop to do subsequent services. Just check in the service book what needs to be changed at 20,000km and tell the workshop, although they should know already.

Believe it or not, I don't go to the SC in BSD even though I stay there, haha. I've been going to the SC in Sg.Buloh because normally its not as packed on weekends and such.

Well, its quite normal. I lost my cap a few times, even when hitting small potholes. The worst thing is, you don't even notice its gone till its too late or you're back home. Annoying yes, thats why I changed my rims. Rims with caps suck.

Well, if you like the Elite rims, go for it. Just make sure you scout the prices first to get an idea of the price so shops can't cheat you. And we BSD-ians are not that bad, maybe you just went to the wrong shop...
