Dear all BB users,

Welcome your sharing and feedback about the BB. I plan to buy a PDA phone. But it is a range of models. I am confusing which one is suitable for me. BB bold, curve, storm?? rclxub.gif

Previously, I was 1516 about buying IPhone or BB. After I surveyed, I realised that I like BB much than IPhone.
A lot fo frens told me that BB is more suitable for businessman or formal work not for lady....plsssss...
I am wondering which model more suitable for me... icon_question.gif

As I am a working and studying mom, I need to record all the household related such as bills - indah water, electricity, water, telecom, ..., credit cards bill, insurances (cars, life, medical, kids...), maids work permits....every single thing in a household. Actually what i currently do is write down everything in the calendar or planner which I only can refer only when I am at home. cry.gif Besides, I need to monitor the investment in share market and unit trust timely. I also need to search journals for my studies. At last, communicate with my frens and Sis in Spore, Korea and Australia through MSN or facebook. Hmmm....my budget is less than 3K.
Thanks in advance.

in my opinions bold is better and others BB
if storm u like better take iphone because iphone screen is bigger and multimedia is better
for curve its not much different compare to bold just multimedia and speed.
bold is the best BB since u nid to check share and market i think u nid a fast internet, hence bold will be good for u.

correct me if iam wrong ^^, this is just my experiences. thx

bb is purely for business but i can see there are some applications loaded even for home users such as facebook. if you do a lot of emailing then i would say bb would be an ideal solution. doing msn, facebook and the recording bills and etc is no sweat with bb. just remember bb are normally larger phones to others but i can say it is reliable and robust. i like the key pad it is easy to type.

Curve is smaller than bold and storm is similar to iphone but i kid u not. use a keyboard is always better than touchscreen. easier to press.

in general, corporate sectors pick bb for it's BES access. u can use BIS for private registration. if u r multitasking but do not need the 'on-the-go' bb services, the new palm pre might be considered. (tho an asian launch might be some months away!). recently launched nokia N97 is also a worthy candidate for the $. i have both a storm & bold; if u do a lot of messaging bold is still best. having said that, i will pick up a palm pre in exchange for my non corporate bb device soonest.
in the end, it all boils down to a matter of preferences. and they say, ladies with bb are hot! cheers!

"What is BIS?
BIS stands for BlackBerry Internet Service. It gives your BlackBerry access to the Internet. It’s like an ISP, but for your smart-phone instead of your home computer. Every time your BlackBerry gets an email, or accesses a webpage, it does so through BIS (unless you’re using BES)

What is BES?
BES stands for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. It gives your BlackBerry access to a corporate intranet. The intranet is the private, internal, network within a company. It’s kind of like a mini-internet that is cut off from the rest of the world. Many intranets allow you to communicate with the Internet as well, but with added layers of security..."
(from http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lectu...ats-difference)

if u r planning to pick up a bb from maxis - u'll need to register as principal line to choose a package (with or without a bb device). please take some time to scrutinise the fine prints as some note 24months contract terms.
or buy a bb from retail and apply for data/voice package from maxis/celcom. although u still need to be a principal liner for either services, u are not tide down to a contract.
u do not have to subscribe to BIS if 'data-on-the-go' is not a must; u just need data services (ie 3g/hsdpa) to access your mail/im/internet related activities.
cheers!
