Problem Encountered : Connection dropped while accessing data
Steps Taken So Far : retry with Maxis simcard and the connection is much better

Do you ever experience connection dropped while surfing DiGi EDGE network ?

i'm have problem while surfing 3G iphone with DiGi .

Suddenly connection dropped and No Service appeared on the screen , then the connection restored

Anybody encounter this problem ?

Any workaround ?

My case quite similar wif urs.. I am using digi n unlimited data network applied.. The problem is tat whenever i am surfing net or using apps tat require data network, my iphone wouldnt accept calls or receive sms until i stop using data network.. However my digi network indicator still ON with edge or gprs as well. Anybody encounter this as well?

Iphone 2nd gen legally unlocked from singapore. Non jailbreak!

perhaps ...DiGi network having problem with iPhone ..i'm still do testing with all malaysia telco network ...currently maxis is better on data access via iPhone ..

Yeah there was a time when Maxis's performance was really erratic. Thats was the time the iPhone was launching locally. A lot of people said Maxis was optimizing their network for this.

for digi edge its a common problem. Data and voice cannot be used simultaneously. And you cant receive sms as well when using data. Its the EDGE bandwidth. Narrow.

You can specify which to be a priority ... data or voice. Thats what we did to our company line. Last time it was prioritize for data transfer and we kept getting missed call so we change the priority to voice. When you are using data and a call came in, it will stop the data transfer. The data will resume back after you end the call. This is the disadvantage of EDGE, it's not duplex in data and voice.

In TS case, if you're using digi + EDGE on iPhone 3G, try disabling 3G in setting and use the GSM band instead of HSDPA.

aha ..currently i'm still having the problem . Thanks to frozzbyte aka iphone freak , for you advice .

even i'm in DiGi area (Subang HiTech) , i'm still having this connection dropped problem .

Conclusion , after i retest again and again , i found DiGi network is not stable on my phone ..

during my test with Maxis network ...the signal is very good and 3G data transfer is tremendously amazing
