Do something that you like. That's where personal trainers come in. They help you modify your current routines and help you do something that you like.

How about this. I like the fact that you're still young and care about your health. I'll give you an opportunity to train with me.
Only issue is, I'm in Melaka. SO if you're into the offer, just drop me a PM. I'm not going to check this thread anytime soon.

Here's a tip. Excuses don't make you a stronger man. Only finding ways to get to a solution, does.

In December or November, my friend and I will be conducting a 2 day workshop. It will either be in our usual place in Singapore, or it will be in PJ/KL.

We'll be teaching how to lose weight, build muscle, with only a towel, a dumbbell, a playground and your bodyweight+creativity. Prices will be at RM100 per person.

In contrast, you guys pay RM120/hour for 1-1 personal trainer which does whatever the machine writes with nothing new to learn.

We're giving a group environment for 2 days which may range between 2-3 hours and you'll get to know more friends as well train in a competitive and fun state.

Currently surveying interest among people in KL/Pj

Ur body tends to burn ur muscle for energy if u r doing intensive exercise without having your breakfast. U will hardly get much energy too due to the low glycogen lvl exist in ur body upon the starvation for the whole night.

From what i have read, it is advisable to do some light exercise (slow jog) for 15mins and ingest some bcaa to prevent muscle loss.

But why bother spend those money buying those bcaa when u can exercise after ur breakfast without losing muscle?

Perhaps because a low intensity cardio after downing a shake is better at burning fat. There's actually a detailed scientific explanation in one of my textbooks about how it works, something about glycogen and energy reserves but I'm too lazy to remember.

Yeah but I'm not the closest thing to bothered about the sciences when it comes to fat loss. It's just fat. It's not training an athlete. As long as it works, who cares about specifics! biggrin.gif

Guys need some help here.

Been going to the gym 5 days a week. Doing 20-25 mins of cardio(loose 300 calories at least, as stated on the machine) then go for RPM for another 40 mins. Do weight alternate days on diff muscles. My diet is as such:

morn : herbalife shake(Mum forces me sweat.gif )
lunch : 2 peice of capati + dhal + what ever vege my mum makes
tea : another shake with wey protein before heading to gym
dinner : what ever is made at home ( noodles, tosai, pasta)

My question is, why am i not loosing weight? Been using the above routine for about 5 month, and good results at first. Now my weight fluctuates between 90~93 every time.  Where am i going wrong?

I actually don't disrespect people's religious choices, but I had to laugh pretty effing hard when I read this. (I'm a devout Buddhist btw)
Every meal you take is a meal full of carbohydrates. You may have skipped rice, but you've been eating a ton of other forms of carbohydrates. It isn't the food (directly) that causes excess flab. It's the excess energy you have from the carbs that come in the form of food, that has caused that to happen. What you have done, is ..something like saying "I don't use the internet anymore, I use the world wide web". Or "I don't pollute the earth because I don't drive. Now I get my driver to drive"

I don't know what vegetarians can really eat to lose fat, but I'm thinking nuts, vegetables and plenty of tofu.
