I'm going to brag. smile.gif

After 12 months of losing 26 kg, my doctor finally agreed for me to go on a 2 week trial without medication to see if my blood pressure remains low. If yes, then I'm off medication for good!

Phew! Long journey but well worth the wait. smile.gif

90% of the diet plan out there on the web site works only if u follow it tight and have determination on it. As to examine the diet works for u, take at least 2 weeks and check if u lose any fat, then if it does, continue.

Fat gain only when calorie in is more than out. U get the logic.

Well ofcoz u needs to exercise. check out HIIT, TABATA, complex and etc

And I wanna ask something:
Is that consider as healthy way ??
Because I have to reduce my weight as soon as possible ... but I also have to care about my health ... thank you

When comes to reducing weight, ur focus got to be on how much calories u consume in a day.

Consume > calories than wat u burn = Gain fat / muscle(if u eat right)

Consume < calories than wat u burn = lose fat/ muscle (depends on wat u eat)

u need at least 1 g of protein to per pound of ur body weight and thats why u need lean MEAT for ur diet.

Carbohydrate are great stuff to boost ur energy, and it is advisable to take it in the morning, post workout and post-post workout. (u need to study what is Glycemic Index)

Fat - healthy fat actually very important during fat lost period.

From wat i can see from ur diet, it seems like u lack of lots of protein but lots of carbs.

Lastly, break ur meals into 5-6 small meals a day to increase ur metabolism.

Side Effects of L-carnitine
Taking normal levels of carnitine does not lead you to experience unpleasant side effects. However, you may be able to experience having too much energy when taking them, and if you take them later during the day, you might have difficulties falling asleep. These side effects are not really reason for concern in many people, as they are mostly mild to moderate, and easy to deal with.

Some reported L-carnitine side effects include vomiting, nausea, headache, diarrhea, stuffy nose, restlessness and sleeping difficulty. Some serious side effects may include fast heartbeat rates, increase in your blood pressure and fever.

Erm, so far not suffering for either of it, i m consuming 2g everyday, sometime even 6pm and do my cardio at 7pm, and i still sleep like a baby at 10pm. For the nausea part i read it from some research, tat just apply for some individuals and it doesnt apply to me too.

hey guys and gals,

i want to lost weight biggrin.gif... im overweight, Bmi is 25.5.
im gonna start my cardio soon. gonna workout for 45min, 4x a week in the morning. do u think i can lost some weight like that?? im not sure bout my meal yet. oh, i drink green tea.

i read lyn members workout journal, make me pening liao, so complicated. i want to lost weight and be healthy only, dont wan become body builder. hehe cos im a girl. biggrin.gif
*
er... it is better telling us ur weight and height instead of BMI (i dun trust them XD)

Ur workout consist of weight training?

From research, u need to drink up to 6-8 serving of green tea a day in order to have the effect of fat burning. ( i took 5 serving be4 and i have hard time falling asleep)

Dont worry, u wont get too big, women is more estrogen dominated and some muscle on them do looks hot.

Anyway, still diet is the key to lose weight.

169cm, 72kg... now maybe more =.="
weight training?? no wor, jz do cardio at the moment. let me burn fat for a week or two 1st, then only learn the weighty stuff...

Oh, about green tea, i feel wanna vomit if i drink too much (more than 3 -4 cups), maybe it wash off all the thing in my tummy... ?? not very sure...

i eat my breakfast/brunch at hawker stall, wantan mee/ ho fun soup etc... lunch and dinner at the moment i cut off rice lo...
*
I eat 6 times a day, every 3 hr i have my meal to keep myself full, so i guess the problem u have with the green tea are most probably when u r hungry and u consume those green tea.... i did tat once when i was in secondary, i drink teh tarik in the morning without breakfast and end up i puke aft 2 hrs. XD.

hehe, guess wat, lifting weight burn more fat than doing cardio thou. Do both and get the best bet of ur bucks.

Brunch.... u skip break fast? tats one major issue for weight lost, ALWAYS have ur breakfast.

U dun eat rice but wantan mee and these two are actually the same thing.... Both are carbohydrate, try to consume oat or other complex carbohydrate in the morning.

Other than that u can consume minimal carbs but high protein food with some healthy fat.

E.g

7am - oranges/ Oat with egg
10am - oranges/grape or any low gi fruit with tuna/meat/ whey?(if u r too lazy to pack up ur food)
1pm - Vege + meat
4pm - Some nuts (walnut, almond, sunflower seed etc)
7pm - vege + meat
10pm - peanut butter/nuts/olive oil/coconut oil + egg or any protein source
11pm Sleep

So tats the rought plan of wat u might wan to eat, and u need at least 1g of protein to per pound of ur body weight.

Have fun smile.gif.

yaya, i dont like muscle also... to tone up a bit ok la... tongue.gif
gambateh ya... 5kg more!! hehehe
FUh~ this is my lifestyle changing, i must do it!! Thanks janson_kaniaz & jamis for the advices. really appreciate. U know its hard to do the things by ownself without ppl suggestion and support.. LOL.
if i wake up early, I will  have breakfast. some time i wake up late, i will hv my brunch at 11am... around 3pm have a cup of coffee/tea with jacob cracker and then dinner lo.

i signed up for 3 months gym. target to lost 10kg, if possible 15kg... this is achievable right?? not dangerous for my health?? i heard ppl said if lost weight too fast, it will gain back fast too, is it real??
i dunno much bout weightlifting... is it like do 10x or 20x of each equipment in the gym?? i think im going to grab the lightest one- haha.

hmm... Tmr have to go hypermarket walk walk, buy some diet food dy... smile.gif really suck in diet meal... i wonder how do u guys know how many calories in the meal?
i understand in order to lost weight, i have to consume half of the calories i need a day. also have to deduct how much calories i burn while i do the cardio thing.
wow only low fat milk and apple for 4 months?? dont u get bored with it... black coffee b4 workout good meh?? but anyway!! bravo!!! 30kgs!!  thumbup.gif
*
Toning up showing muscle XD

3 months for 10kg? it is possible but i afraid some of the weight might be ur muscle. I just finish my 3 months cycle and i lost around 6kg (from 84 to 78kg) and i mostly train on weights only, cardio may be once a week or 2 times the most (too lazy and afraid losing muscle).

Aft losing weight can gain weight faster than normal? Logically it could be possible, as u exercise and u eat separated meals ur metabolism tends to get higher and u will get hungry more often and therefore when u stop, u burn less calories and u consume the same amt of calories while u r exercising and result in calorie surplus. Personally, i m addicted to gym, so hope it does for u too XD.

For the calories part u can always search for nutritional fact for each food, then get a scale and weight ur food, then u will know how much u eat wink.gif

For weight, google can help u or u can go to the bodybuilding corner, tons of regulars will help u up.

Low fat milk and apple for 4 months, if i have lactose intolerance i think my rectum going to look like hibiscus by then.

shocking.gif  ah, so cham, u LOLed at me... HAHA... nvm, now i know what is that. tone up = muscle.
some of the weight is my muscle?? this is why i am scare to do weightlifting. fat become muscle, no way to make muscle smaller?
mmm, i still have a lot of flabby area, many more fat to burn...

one week past dy, my weight still remain the same. but i can feel my thigh is not hard dy, more flabby than previous. lol, oil/fat in my thigh start melting??
*
Dun worry too much about the muscle part, ladies wont put on muscle as "easy" as guys (eventhou it is not easy for us too). Losing muscle? consume less protein then u will lose muscle (it is call catabolism - ur body break down ur muscle for fuel)

And ur fat wont melt and stay in ur body ><, it can only be burn and use as energy by ur body. U got to lower down ur calories intake slowly as u progress, if u didnt lose any cut down by 200cals (mostly from carbs). Hows ur diet plan look like now?

haha, ok... not melt, is burn lo... haha...

weekdays:
breakfast: one egg and one white bread. + hl milk  (i know, white bread not good, im gonna get wholewheat soon)
lunch: cracker + hl milk. or fishball noodle
dinner: half rice with what my mom cook. if eat outside with friend, mostly order noodle + steamfish.
snack? mini tomato / grapes/ fruits.

weekend abit heavy... haha.

ooO...i forgot breakfast tat day, and went to gym, end up wuek wuek vomit some water...  doh.gif
*
ur diet

breakfast : one egg (8g of protein 5g of fat) , 1 slice white bread, hl milk

u need more protein here, u only have approximately 15- 18g of protein here with 20 carbs

lunch: cracker + hl milk || fish ball noodle

cracker and noodle <- simple carbs. Vege + meat would be a better choice

dinner: half bowl of rice || noodel + steamfish

avoid carbs during dinner. Take more protein and fat.

snack : fruits

3 eggs and a glass of milk sounds better.

overall, u need to split ur meal into 6 small meal. Remember, consume ur carbs in the morning, post workout and post-post workout and the rest, try to consume more vege and fat with sufficient protein intake. when ur body is in starvation mode, it will tend to store more fat and start to break down ur muscle. So tats y we need to eat every 3 hours to tame ur insulin level.

jamis..can share example of a diet? starting last week my lifestyle changes because of finish study :-)

6am-wake up
7am- jogging (2km the highest i achieved) selalu 1km je
9am-breakfast - nasi goreng?
1pm-lunch
5pm-jogging again
9pm-dinner?

advises?
*
Empty stomach jogging? This may not be wise as u r in starvation mode and u r doing cardio, most of the time u might lose muscle and build up fat.

Preferably,

Wake up 6am - Breakfast (oat and protein (eggs?))
7am - weight lifting (jogging if u prefer)
8am - postworkout - simple carbs + protein
11am - protein and fat
2pm - protein and fat and vege
5pm - protein and fat and vege
6pm - jogging (weight lifting if u prefer)
7pm - Carbs + protein
10pm - protein and vege or fat

if u r doing cardio and weight lifting on the same day, u might end up with 8 meals, if u separate them, it should be ard 7meals.

Most importantly, ur breakfast, postworkout and post-post workout should consist of carbohydrate .The rest u can consume some healthy fat and protein.

MAke sure u r consuming less calories than ur normal calories intake (burn > than u consume)
