I love it very very much, I'd say it's a good first experience first step into Hi-Fi /audiophile passive bookshelf speakers

For recent ish setup, I've had:
I've had Edifier S530D > Edifier MR5 > DALI SONIK 1

Edifier MR5 is a bit short lived between December 2025 to May 2026 as I was really craving for much more and the timing was crazy with my curiosity visit to TechX Malaysia one fine day.

And, it wasn't for DALI, it was originally for the Klipsch RP600M ii or RP500M ii - after watching few videos about Klipsch from "cheapaudioman" YouTube

After some listening, the Klipsch were a bit disappointing unfortunately
But that's kinda a characteristic of horn and with some discussion with Faris/JX, they recommended the DALI and my FOMO definitely kicked in knowing that the SONIK was also very recently launched in Malaysia at the Penang AV, and me also being among their first customers for the SONIK 1.
My personal space limitation.

I can only have a max height of 31-32 CM Underneath my monitor (that's hung by an arm) on my desktop setup.

Welcome to the hobby and hope you enjoy your first proper speakers. What amp, dac, streamers are you using with them?

I can't tolerate Klipsch too and have no idea why some people like them. Did you try any other speakers at TechX?

Nope never bothered to try other speakers as I was pressing for time, then again I spent around 2 hours on the DALI SONIK 1 going through a lot of music to make sure I don't pull the trigger too hastily

Hell, even after the long listening session, I didn't actually plan to buy immediately, wanting to be more, responsible on my spending. But alas 🤦‍♂️🙈

Having a good preamp makes a big difference. Please report back on whether it makes your system sound even better.
