Phenom II Black Edition TWKR 42 Unveiled : http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.p...798#post1454798

TWK = Those WHo Know tongue.gif

QUOTE
egit Reviews is one of the first sites to review this chip, and adds an interesting list of myth busters to go with it. The chip is based on a cherry-picked high quality yield of Deneb C2 core. It comes with a vCore value of 1.44 V out of the box, and lets the overclocker decide which bus-multiplier, frequency, and voltage value to use. It comes in an exclusive jewel-case from AMD. Using air-cooling by an XIGMATEK HDT-S1283, the reviewer was able to reach 4.00 GHz on the air and more than 5.90 GHz using liquid-nitrogen cooling.

Yep...they are smile.gif

Take a look at X3 720 BE / X2 550 BE price..and compare to E8400 price....and lastly go see the reviews on how 720/550 catchup with 8400 at cheaper price tongue.gif

I heard that CnQ will somehow interfere with your overclocking? Is it true? Or has it been fixed with newer chipsets?

The power saved by using CnQ is very very tempting to not on it even after OC.
*
Turning off CnQ can eliminate possibilities of CnQ being the culprit for not having the stable clock you want laugh.gif

But you can turn on CnQ + OC on some boards, but different boards allow CnQ to be turn on differently during OC. Such as (from my experience) Biostar mobo; you can turn on CnQ and OC my multi only, while Gaygay mobo allows HTT OC + CnQ.

sorry if my info is wrong, still a nubie blush.gif

hmm.gif then can drop HT Link to 1000Mhz terus laugh.gif? or there is some sweet spot on HT Link adjustment?
