hey guys, just started oc-ing my phenom today, and wanted to ask something. whats the nominal or expected temps for the northbridge?

my spec is 9150e, managed to push it to 2520 (280*9) and both NB and HT multi's are 7x, so the values are both around 1960. My temperature however for the NB was around 89C. this scared me, so switched off to do some research, which has now led me here.

system information would be in my siggie.

Newer older also cannot work.

For Biostar only the old version can unlock, new version cannot edi, I think it's because AMD don't want the unlocking thing to go on. (Cakap saje lah I know.)

Your situation is similar to bobiac... If I'm not mistaken he took it for RMA or sold it off...

Hi there oc sifu's
I posted here before about getting my DDR2 RAM to post at 1066 speed but failed.

Major reason due to crap oc mobo M4A78 Plus

I just bought a new Biostar TA790GX mobo which is far more better

But after some tweaking...I still failed to get my ram to post at 1066

I think its because the FSB:DRAM ratio set at 1:2 (I could not find the setting at the bios)

My Specs
720 Black Edition with stock cooling and speeds
Biostar TA790GX
Team Xtreem Dark 4GB 1066 DDR2 running at 800mhz
Silverstone ST560F

Any help would be greatly appreciated

vdimm is 1.8-1.9
the ram is rated 2.1-2.2

HTT is set on auto ?

yeah i guess so
this ram would be more easier to set with intel
but since I bought AMD
I willing to go the hard way

i reckon 65'c max after i put my mugen 2 in push-pull config. should have abandon d idea of push-pull thingy coz once i put in d "pull" fan, i can't squeeze in d 4cm fan on top of d nb cooler as well as d 6cm fan on heatpipe mosfet cooler... sad.gif

what is core divider ?
i got 5 option there...
divide by 1,2,4,8,16

i still failed to post at 1066
my cpu would have to run at 3.8 ghz which is and impossible oc
i think its because of the FSB:DRAM ratio not set(which i don't know how to set)

not core devider mate, it's something like mem configuration something.... can't remember much coz my short term mem is sucks. it's where u can choose ddr400, ddr533, ddr667, ddr800 & ddr1066. nod.gif

yup
3.8 is impossible

i went in to the timming config
set to DDR1066

even went in to set the voltage for ram to 2.1(it was on 1.8 default)

everything else was the oc setting for cpu

the FSB:DRAM ratio is 1:2
HT at 1600

thought about bumping the HT to 2200 because (800*2=1600,i want the ram at 1066 so 1066*2=2132)
is that even possible ?

btw,verdict
did you have to set your rams manually ?or is it on auto ?
i think we have the same ram kit
