Soon MSI is going to expand its AM3-ready motherboard line-up with a new model, the 770T-C45, and you can see it just below. This upcoming sub-100 Euro board features the APS (Active Phase Switching) power saving technology, the Easy OC Switch, has support for AM3 processors, comes with four DDR3-1600 memory slots and one PCI-Express x16 slot.

Looking almost the same as the 770-C45, the 770T-C45 also comes with six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, one PATA connector, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, and is Windows 7-ready

To me, a high end rig is either for showing off or got a lot of money dunno what to do... hmm.gif

However, the purpose of the rig is usually associated with computational power and that translates to a powerfull processor, high speed ram, quality chipset and X2 Graphics card... rclxm9.gif

Imagine this...a Blood Red F430 with carbon seats, no radio, no Bose speakers and no carpets...but what it does have is a remapped ECU from Koenigg, a set of titanium exhaust from J&E, uprated suspension by Eibach Ferdern and 600bhp worth of horses under its bonnet... sweat.gif

Or, do you prefer the same model without the goodies mentioned, but it does come with an Alpine F1 headunit+processors+amp+monoblock, Bose all around speakers n woofers...?? whistling.gif

wah bro... a mid~high end sound card (be it pci or pci-e based) is barely d price of a pair of performance ram, not gonna cost a fortune to those who can afford or even us d average joe (at least me). i'm not talkin bout DAC here which will cost alot more, imo a decent sound system doesn't need to be super expensive, especially for music listenin a pair of 2.1 speaker like AE Aego M or Klipsch Promedia 2.1(not necessarily these 2 but i consider 'em are very3 gud pair ledi) coupled w/ xonar/x-fi will do d job extremely well. for gamin wise can either go for lower end but more channels or high end 5.1/7.1 depend on budget. believe me, decent sound card + speaker mostly can last at least half a decade, way worthy than those "engine" parts like cpu/ram/gfx. nod.gif

now pairin speaker of level mentioned w/ on-board apu does sound "x ngam" rite? tongue.gif

Miahahaha, my last soundcard was the Live! Gamer card, still acceptable ke with our current standard? laugh.gif
I stopped using it when i use my old Abit NF7-S 2.0 mobo coz its Nvidia soundstorm APU was kicking my Live! card in the butt.. laugh.gif
Been sooo long since i bought myself a soundcard.. So far i'm still satisfied with the onboard soultions..

No ler, i read from techpowerup it's an AM2+ mobo:

QUOTE
MSI Readies 770T-C45 Motherboard
MSI is working on yet another addition to its AM2+ socket motherboard lineup, this time the 770T-C45. This mainstream ATX motherboards draws more than just its layout from the recently announced 770-C35, and the AM3-based 770-C45, in fact an identical board layout with the addition of a few features. This board is uses an AM2+ socket with support for DDR2 memory, with the AMD 770 + SB710 chipset, which provides support for AMD OverDrive Advanced Clock Calibration feature. The CPU is powered by the same 4+2 phase design featured on the older model. An important difference is that this model features Active Phase Switching, which turns off redundant power phases when the load is low. Another change is the colour scheme for the expansion slots connectors, and heatsinks. It will be priced in the sub-$100 range.

try x-fi/xonar bro, they'll blow ya mind away... trust me... thumbup.gif

i used to think that way when i was on sound storm, but after i switch to a lowly av-710 (via envy chipset), i don't feel like usin on-board apu nemore. d card is so so in gamin, but music wise it can even pwn audigy, ofcoz this is subjective but if u have sensitive hearin then u'll definitely agree w what i say. wink.gif

mebe i'm more of a music person, gamers have diff taste i guess. nod.gif

i know it's kinda off topic, nothing's wrong havin some healthy discussion instead of spammin w/ one liner reply rite? rolleyes.gif

not askin u to pair a xonar/x-fi w a pair of speaker that cost < RM100, that's overkill. but d point is if u can afford a 790fx board, it's almost impossible that u don't own a pair of decent speaker. and that pair of speaker can put for better use if pair w sound cards mentioned instead of usin d on-board apu. it's not for show off purposes or what so ever if u know how to maximize d use of it. when u get older, u tend to value quality stuffs instead of bling2 stuffs. nod.gif
