Dear Low Yat's Animal Lover community, I would like to get a shiba inu. Yes I know it won't be cheap~ Just wondering is it possible to get 1 in Malaysia without importing them from Japan. PLease advise me. I just want a shiba inu because I couldn't find any medium small size dog look as good as them. Just my opinion.. haha. I love them so much.
Anyway, is it possible to include the pricing (hopefully under 2.5K)? I need to start looking for them and prepare the money because i am getting them in 2-3 month(August/September). PLease help me out. Thank YOu!

I also saw the Shiba Inu in 1U Petsmore. It looks intelligent. I think it could be a good dog.

u only can buy from the local breed. if i am not mistaken, shiba is banned to import, so you have to find local breed.
try to call mka to ask, might have breeder directory.

bcz shiba is considered as fighting dog, isn't it? that why i see on newspaper when they released banned dog list for rear. bt juz nobody care as long as the dog did not hurt ppl.

since when shiba inu becomes a fighting dog?
shiba is not banned.. try to do some research online.

The one that get banned is Akita, not shiba inu. Both also from Japan.

Maybe u can call them up? The Petsmore is opposite of Subway in new wing.

Try this: Call 012-227 6838 and find Mr Ng. He import Shiba Inu.

Does anyone here know any Akita owners? Am looking for a yellow Japanese breed.

Last time I saw an Akita sold in Pet's Icon. Maybe you could ask them. But it is white.

Me and my gf just bought the Shiba from petsmore 1U when we went there ... around the online game event(saturday). Its a female... and very naughty but very energetic ....

If you want you can try to contact the desaparkcity petsmore, I heard that is a male.

My sis bought it (refer to post above me) from 1-Utama Petsmore on 6th June 2009, collected on 7th June 2009. Here, we named her Suki (Born on 1st of April 2009)

Oh, and yes we bought her for RM36xx. She is very playful, energetic and naughty. Must play one round before bedtime at night

After our 8year 11 months old mixed Spitz passed on, we've been searching high and low for a replacement and Shiba Inu is our number 1 priority but too bad this breed is very rare and hard to find in Malaysia. My sis did not hesitate to buy her at first opportunity.

I just went to Petsmore 1U last wednesday night (July 8th), the Shiba is there, the price is still the same, female.

Yeap~ Today I stopped by 1U. Very active and very ADORABLE! But the downside is that she not the physical appearance that I want. I want something like below(the spoiler). The chubby type~~hehehe.


I guess I am kinda picky~~ Forgive me!!Anyway, I will keep waiting until they have something like on the picture(the spoiler).

theres local breeder here if im not mistaken ...price 2k++ only coz last year me oso looking for either shiba or husky...petsmore price a bit high you know what i mean...

I think they are chubby while they are very young but all of them grow into a lean shiba inu. I don't think i saw an chubby adult shiba inu before unless they are overfeed.

Akita is big size, Shiba is medium size

Shiba has his or her own mind..U need persistence to train..
But they are generally clean. Abit like cat...Clean their paws everyday.

In short, free spirit and brave dog bread..They might be small medium size.
