Thanks

I've tried the ZA true White day protector SPF26PA+++ (RM19.90). It's not bad. Has no fragrance so it won't upset sensitive skin and it's also non-clogging on pores. Only thing is that it's just spf 26 so you might need to apply later in the day around... 2-3pm just to be on the safe side.
I didn't like the sunplay SPF120PA++(forgot how much) ones cos i felt those really clogged my pores and also it's the smell. Quite strong like the ZA sunscreen SPF40PA+++(RM24 about there). Very strong sunscreen smell. I still smell it like later after dinner -.-;

I've tested the clinique city block SPF55PA+++(RM90) but it is not good for oily skin. I felt like a plate of char kuey teow the whole time. Made myself wash it off cos I couldn't stand it.
Clinique just released a new summer range of sunscreens. I tested the Body and face Spray SPF30PA+++ but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone. It felt like a layer of plastic on my skin. Even though it's quite light weight but I felt like it wasn't suitable with our weather. More for drier climates.

Tested the Shu Uemura one too. It's a mousse base with SPF 25PA+++(RM 125+) but it's a very small cannister and finishes quite fast based on the amount that the SA applied on me. It's tinted and has a very nice smooth finish. Good as a makeup base too. Not enough SPF so I didn't buy it.

I'm currently using DiorSnow Sublissime White UV prefect shield SPF50PA+++(RM170 - more expensive in parkson so go buy from jusco or isetan instead). There is a SPF30 one but that's more of a make up base instead of sunscreen so make sure you check. It comes in two finishes, translucent and pearly white. If you have oily skin or feel that you are not that fair, I'd advice you to start with the translucent one first then slowly work your way to the pearly white one. I'm using the translucent because the pearly white one just makes me feel like I look a little sweaty when I'm outdoors even when I'm not. Non clogging on pores. Cost is a problem for this but thankfully you only have to a pea-size amount each time and SPF50 means that it can last the whole day on one application.

my friend frm US recommended me Neutrogena Sunscreen. Try this. I bought Ultra Sheer complete UV moisture @ $49.90 in Guardian but Watson has offer, only sold at $28++, worth to buy. It is not oily.
Make sure u buy SPF 50 w/ PA+++.

Visit this website and read why we need to apply sunscreen.

hmm, I think I'm gonna try the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser soon when my Himalaya Neem Wash finishes.

Anyway, how about the scars at my face ?
I have loads of them because of itchy hands.
I'm using Bio-oil to reduce the scars but it take a long time.
Anyone knows something that works faster ?
Will drinking more water helps ?

You can try on BB cream with sunsreen protection. It can allow you to protect your skin from UV harm and at the same time to regenerate your skin to very good condition smile.gif

In Theory SPF20 can last to 6 hours but with our weather, sweat, air-cond SPF 20 isn't enough. Most people would recommend a MINIMUM of SPF 30 for our country becasue of the humid conditions that makes makeup and sunscreen melt off during the day. For those of your who wear your foundation daily, you know what I mean.

Also, how long the sunscreen lasts depends on your skin. This is a rough calculation guide.

How long it takes for your skin to feel hot under the sun = SPF 1 = roughly about less than 20 minutes but some people only 10 minutes.( this depends on time of year and location)
You multiply with the corresponding SPF number after that.
For example = SPF 26(like the ZA one) x 15 minutes (in the afternoon) = 300 minutes.
That's 5 hours. minus the sweating, you might want to reapply between 2-3 hours or when you start to feel your skin get warmer than usual.

Paying attention to to the labels. SPF is only protection against UV-B rays. You need to make sure that it also has PA+++ which is for UV-A rays. 3+ is the highest level you can get for UV-A protection.

These days sunscreens are more skin-friendly and most companies are already generating higher SPF ones because of the changing global climate.

Oh! And please remember to apply your sunscreen about 30 minutes before going out into the sun/exposure to direct UV. Sometimes when you put the sunscreen on and you go out immediately without it having been absorbed into your skin properly, you have a high change or getting darker because the cream on your skin absorbs the UV rays and that makes the whole sunscreen effect happen in reverse.

I have tested Shiseido's Aneesa sunscreen and it's really good! Not oily at all. But the price is a little high. About RM110.

My favourite drugstore brand of sunscreen will be Biore's! The little white bottle that you have to shake prior using. The oil control is really good compared to other sunscreen which I have tried e.g. Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk/ Avene's face sunscreen/ Sasa Sun Guard (tinted)/ Kiss Me's tinted sunscreen (forgot the name). It's around RM25-RM30 if I'm not mistaken.

some of the nice one which i have tried are faceshop's quick and clean (if not mistaken the name, a green tube, no fragrance, pretty good to use), skin food's aloevera BB (love how it feels on my skin, and easy to apply, and control oil pretty well), now using BRTC, quite okay.
