How to custom made? Can give a little bit tips?
*
bro , the "shaft" that matt4wd use is actually the screw from double roller stay extension ( grey color , not sure correct name or not)...there is a built-in nut there so he just put the green gear in , measured the length to actual length of orginal shaft and cut.

bro,

by doing that , it is possible to prevent the green gear from wearing out? coz looking at it got me thinking..that's wht happened to my gear on sunday..good thing i had spare.

Breaking in in water... please elabrate shocking.gif
*
the story goes like this... when purchasing a new motor , " breaking in" is a way to bring out the full potential of the motor... let's say hyper dash..if you just pop in the motor into the car with load as in gears and let it run , the motor inside on the accumulator will have scratches and uneven surface and basically ruining the motor potential although it is fast but actually it can be faster than fast..lol

2 ways to break-in motor , 1 , attach 2 AA batteries with crocodile clips to the motor , let it run for 5 minutes..then stop for 5 minutes then continue another 5 minutes .... i did bout three times.

2, same thing as above just , put motor in a small glass jar of water and run it in... water reduces friction on the accumulator motor.

Sifus... noob ere. started playing quite recently. am running on a very tite budget ere. i nw run a ms-L chassis + no2 front chassis with lite dash motor. had never run the car or motor yet. cn sifus giv me some advise on spending my next rm100. was thinking 19mm rollers +gear bearings n front frp extender. pls give ur opinion. TQ biggrin.gif
*
welcome to the thread...since you havent run the car or motor yet...good for you..the didnt ruin the motor yet...wht am i talking bout? well , motor needs to break-in... process to make sure the brushes are smooth and brings out the best of the motor... attach 2 AA batteries to crocodile clips to the motor in a jar of WATER!!!! Only Water... dont use wd40. run motor for few minutes then stop...throw water and put clean water... notice when after run in... water is slightly dirty.. do this for a few times then lets race.. hahaha..

for your $100 spending , better you upload a picture of car so we can tell you what you would need.
but what szng suggested is good coz most of us have the similiar setting..but you'll need more $$ to spend...

i test my car yesterday..wah..so much jumping... not worth using hyper-dash for this..too much risk..better use atomic tuned just that yesterday forgot to bring.

apai , how's work? RM15 for 15 minutes...wah shocking.gif so expensive man!!!

>gabz,

y cant v break in de motor in wd40?

actually what i want to say was dun spray wd40 into motor , too oily plus we are bound by tamiya rules...no lubricant! closest thing that is able to be used is bearing cleaner.

hey idiot ( lol , that is so rude) , listen.. erm.. you can buy the 72mm shaft which T.U is selling...drill holes in the rim, when you put shaft into rim, excess shaft will come out from the other side and that can hold the rims firmly.. im already using that.

dear all...

i am new to the forum... from singapore...
i am looking to attend the upcoming race at TU... may have some other friends going from singapore...

can u advise if there are any budget hotels around 1 utama?
tried to check online but the best i can find is smart hotel in kota damansara... at RM85... which i believe is about 10-15 mins away from 1 utama by taxi (assuming no jam)...
any kind soul can help me...

thank you.

*
welcome to the forum... f.y.i... 1 utama area is a traffic hazard but during the evenings only..race day would be on sunday afternoon so less traffic. about the budget hotel, you dont really have much option there i think... hopefully someone else replied your question.
