You all should know that most classical guitars dont have a strap pin.

I am thinking buying a guitar strap that would not require me to put a "pin" on my guitar coz I definitely would not want to drill a hole on it because i find it very risky and might damage my guitar (entry level yamaha classical guitar).

Any recommendations on what possible good guitar strap to use? (without putting pins on it)

Hope to hear from you guys. thanks!

in the first place, why are u using a strap on a classical?
its meant to be played sitting down, else there is no point in playing classical with wrong technique.
better u go buy a regular acoustic folk guitar etc.

and i think what gapnap is talking about is this...

I have one of that already.. its got a rubberized hook but my sound hole already the finish koyak abit, dont dare to use sudah.

And theres more than one way to play the classical guitar. Its all about individual style in my opinion.

Wont drilling damage the guitar?

Well that was helpful niza...

Drilling doesn't hurt the guitar per se. Just find the best place to drill. On the heel doesn't hurt. Side of the guitar also okay. I mean if my acoustic can have this giant hole there because of built-in tuner, your tiny strap button should be a-okay.

classical guitars very light.
if the screws can hold electric guitars that are way way heavier, then there is no prob with classicals.
just have to find a right length screw to make sure it doesnt go thru the body.

Use nut & bolt better. Screws thread can easily be damaged if you exert pressure on it. Then you will have to drill another hole =.=

USE NUT & BOLT !

Never heard of nut and bolt. My Ibanez's screws are metal and somehow secured firmly. I can't remember how and I can't check because it's still in the shop =/.

IMHO, just drill the guitar if it is not an expensive one (a few hundred bucks or so).
Just walk into Woh Fatt (or any other music shops that carry loads of spare parts) & ask for the knob.
Else, just use the strap recommened by Everdying above smile.gif

Classical guitar my dear, not solid body. You gonna screw in a screw on that pityful thin piece of wood ? rclxub.gif
