Not sure how to explain....

If you have 2 share you get one, then is like 50%. But the share price will adjust accordingly. If day before ex price is $1 for 1000 share ($1000), then after ex the price will probably go down to $0.66, about 2/3 of the original price. (1500 * $0.66 = $1000)

If the company is good one, one day your 1500 share will worth more than original 1000 share. The current shareholders will get extra shares, the value of the share appears to have dropped making it cheaper for investors to pick it up again. So you may see price appreciations thus anything above $0.66, theoretically, would be untung for you.
