Not all shares will go up if CI go up. Sometimes 90% shares go down, but of 10% stocks which are coincidentally KLCI basket of stocks go up, Ci will go up too. What share are you talking abt?

from my observation so far when CI 900+ point share all like lapuk, but when close to 1100 share all mostly double or tripple, I can see a lot of good counter share keep creeping up, so I'm assuming if now buy good counter then pick up dividend then if price up can sell and see where I go from there. Right to do this?

Thats what a lot of smart investors are doing. Even smarter investors are picking up counters that are fundamentally good at discounted prices, with 6-10% dividend. Hold it for 5 years, means dividend already pay 30-60% of your initial purchase price. Everytime dump in the dividend money back into same counter, so year 2's dividend based on more units of share, and go on and on. By end of 5 years, with capital gains, your capital probably increase 200% liao.

One example is the Public bank calculation la, google it. The numbers in the end are sick.

It is not wise for individual investors to be in a position of 100% or 0% cash.

Just my experience. Some asset allocation is needed all the time because we don't know how exactly the market play out as we cannot time the market.

Buy or sell stocks is about shifting whether you are heavy on stocks or light on it. It is not wise to sell all the stocks unless you are holding goreng stocks only.

Just my view and experience tell me.
