QUOTE(moorish @ Jun 12 2009, 10:18 AM) but in a way follow CI right? if continue to up then price wont drop much, or I dun get the concept right? not sure, u have to ask taiko here, but i think if got ppl support/buy the share, then it will raise, CI raise doesn't means all shares raise, some will drop too... like those I buy... |

QUOTE(omores @ Jun 12 2009, 10:22 AM) Not all shares will go up if CI go up. Sometimes 90% shares go down, but of 10% stocks which are coincidentally KLCI basket of stocks go up, Ci will go up too. sealink... she found that pay rm910 and get rm40 dividend is tempting... |

QUOTE(moorish @ Jun 12 2009, 10:27 AM) from my observation so far when CI 900+ point share all like lapuk, but when close to 1100 share all mostly double or tripple, I can see a lot of good counter share keep creeping up, so I'm assuming if now buy good counter then pick up dividend then if price up can sell and see where I go from there. Right to do this? u can try, some counter after dividend, will lose steam and stay at a lower level for a while...so u wan to buy? maybe u buy sealink over rm1 leh.. since u so lucky |

QUOTE(omores @ Jun 12 2009, 10:31 AM) Thats what a lot of smart investors are doing. Even smarter investors are picking up counters that are fundamentally good at discounted prices, with 6-10% dividend. Hold it for 5 years, means dividend already pay 30-60% of your initial purchase price. Everytime dump in the dividend money back into same counter, so year 2's dividend based on more units of share, and go on and on. By end of 5 years, with capital gains, your capital probably increase 200% liao. OMG! I didn't think like this before! One example is the Public bank calculation la, google it. The numbers in the end are sick. but I think I have to start on OCT or NOV, coz I have to cash out all money till then... |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 12 2009, 10:52 AM) It is not wise for individual investors to be in a position of 100% or 0% cash. i understand, the key point is balance on ur portfolio, but i need the money to do somethings else, will be back on OCT/NOV...Just my experience. Some asset allocation is needed all the time because we don't know how exactly the market play out as we cannot time the market. Buy or sell stocks is about shifting whether you are heavy on stocks or light on it. It is not wise to sell all the stocks unless you are holding goreng stocks only. Just my view and experience tell me. so at the moment, if I know market sure up for 100%, i'll continue to buy, if not, have to cash out first... |

QUOTE(sampool @ Jun 12 2009, 02:56 PM) try call ur brokerage agent, some share can short-selling (in Hle showing, but i dunno how to do yet)...anyway, short-selling is danger, if the price keep going up, it will be different from share u buy going down... coz on T+3, u have to buy back no mater wat price it is... u can't "hold" it... |
