There will be a meeting to discuss about the event. Details as below:

Date: 18th June 2009
Time: 7:30pm onwards
Venue: SS2 Wong Kok

Brief agenda for the meeting:

1. Food and drinks
Steve has managed to get a few quotations for the food. We need to finalize everything including the budget and sponsorship.

2. Transportation and meet up point
Because the place is in Semenyih, Vig will be the transport minister to set up meet up points and timing for meet up. We will finalize and announce it here.

3. Activities
Need suggestions or ideas for activities

4. Volunteers
Still need manpower to help out around even if this time we are doing it small.

5. Photographers
Need volunteers

Sherly will not be attending the meeting because she's going for an operation on her hand so Steve and me will be handling it. But rest assured she will be back for the event itself

Updates from the meeting for those who were not able to come:

1. Food and drinks
Due to the small amount of residents, Steve is having a hard time to outsource for the caterers. Anyhow, we've came out with a few solutions and the worst case scenario would be cooking by ourselves on that day in the home. Steve is still trying his best in getting the food.
As for drinks, we will be getting 3 cartons of packet drinks. Thank you for the contribution!

2. Transportation and meet up point
As Vig suggested previously, we will be meeting at the Petronas petrol station after the 3 tolls (RM 0.50 toll, RM1.00 and RM0.90 toll) via Cheras (Tmn Connaught) - Kajang highway. We will depart at 11.00am

3. Activities
We will have our Sonrisa singing group to present a few nice songs to the old folks. Below will be the songs' title, please sing along on that day to cheer the old folks!

If you have any other songs that you wish to suggest, please do!

4. Volunteers
So far only 11 have confirmed attendance for this particular event, need more.

5. Photographer
We don't have any photographer yet. Brian and Nigel will try their best to make it, and Vig will be helping out too. Any photographers around?

We're hoping to have a casual dress code for the event: Black shirt with jeans. Opinions?

ANNOUNCEMENT

Meeting on Tuesday, 7th July 2009, 7.30pm
Location will be at SS2

Everyone who went to Semenyih the first time around, please arrange your time to attend the meeting. It's very important!

Others who didn't go the first time around are still welcome of course
Pls confirm attendance by Monday!

The event will be postponed because Sherly has to be admitted to hospital for her hand. Don't worry it's nothing serious but of course she won't want to be disturbed during this time so if you have any questions you can just leave me a PM.
