Stringfellow, so far you've been a great help. I have now been able to credit the gift card into the Amazon account. Silly me should have known how to retrieve the gift card redemption code. Exactly like you said, its like a prepaid code.
However the most frustrating part now, is that whenever I click on a Kindle Book, then select Buy now with 1-Click, the following results (see attachment):
"XXX, please contact us or change your country to complete your purchase
You attempted to purchase an item while in a different country than listed on your Amazon account"
I think I've done everything correctly:
-entered a US address for the Amazon Account B registration
-entered a US address for the credit card billing address listed in Account B
-even entered a US phone number into the same fields
Is Amazon trying to match the non-US credit card to a US address, than failing to pass? But if the gift card credits are already sufficient, why is Amazon trying to verify this then?
Or is Amazon going back to the source of the email address for Account B, which is a gmail account and somehow can detect that the gmail account is not from within the US.? How is that possible?
Pls help!
Amazon is checking the ip address of the orders. Try using Hotspot Shield www.hotspotshield.com to circumvent this. Download the app install then launch your browser again .Log into amazon with your b account. Make sure hotspotshield is connected.
