Anyway, the reason why people from other countries appreciate the Mazda3 more is because they are not plagued by brand loyalty and brand stigma. They just appreciate a good car and the Mazda3 is what it is.
darlyn: To tell you the truth, ALL service centres in MY are downright lousy, regardless of car make. It's only good if you own a Lexus. But that's a different thing altogether.
Anyway, they are so so and common with everything Malaysian, you need to bug them to get your problem solved. But having said that, it's not to say Mazda cars are problematic. On the contrary not ! You don't get QC problems normally associated with local CKD assembly. That I can surely vouch for. So that itself is good that you do not need to rely on the SC too much for problem solving.
So like what kokben suggested, go and have a test drive of the Mazda3 this weekend and feel for yourself.
