I just put my deposit for the M3 2.0 (missus's car). I would have gone for the 2.5 M6 anyday..$$$ permiting. As i understand, the M3 has its own quirks. Would love feedbacks from fellow zoom zoom members on the M3 bad reputation : 1. Bad FC- SE says its about 15c to 1km..but heard from other MAzda forums M3 FC really bad. Anyone can confirm? 2. Toyo tyres are really noisy - should I change it? (thinking of Yoko C Drive/or Mich MX8) 3. Poor service from SC. Unable to solve/diagnose problems. Is this true? 4. Finally the ultimate question- Why so many white M3? I had no choice but to opt for the graphite mica..as too many white M3 out there.

QUOTE(sanik @ Jun 21 2010, 09:59 AM) 1. i dont think its bad so far. my mileage its near to 2000km already and the ave FC is 8.8L/100km. 2. no idea abou tyre issue, but im thinking to change to 225/45/R17 after this 3. no prob so far, and the SC here in JB are really good compare to other service i've been so far (perodua, mitsu..). just my observation 4. haha.. because white M3 is.. is.. chantek Yes..white is the best colour for M3!!! But too many around in KL...terpaksa chose second best colour graphite mica. Hmm..2000km average FC 8.8L/100 assuming you pump Ron 97 cost per km = 18 sen ...ok accpetable for a 2.0 car. Sanik - are there any other issues/probs you facing with your M3? Thanks for the feed back bro.

QUOTE(raoman @ Jun 28 2010, 03:47 PM) hi, smart car u have there. i'm planning to get a M3 as well, but still undecided. i just need some advice from exixting users about the FC for the 2.0 variant. i've read blogs where they compared civic 2.0 and M3 2.0, head to head, civic seems to be better in terms of interior spaciousness and FC. can u guys (M3 users) verify this info?? Thanks. Hi Raoman, I was in the same conundrum as you when chosing my missus next car. Was in 2 minds between the Civic and M3. Decided on M3 based on one simple logic. Pay 134 for CBU or pay 131 for CKD? I rather put my 134 on the hands of a Jap who has pride in assembling the car, rather than a some one in Melaka who does it as a run of the mill thingy. Yes, the civic is more spacious (flat floor, bigger boot) and M3's FC could be better. But ultimately, are you car driven or driven to drive?. If you are the latter, the M3 is much more rewarding. But then again, this is from my observation during test driving both cars. This post has been edited by gladfly: Jun 28 2010, 04:21 PM

QUOTE(jumajuma @ Jul 20 2010, 10:09 AM) it gonna be tight actually.. civic powerful engine VS m3 solid handling. but if compare with equipment level m3 win hand down.. so if u test drive u can see how beautiful is all the gadget in the cockpit and compare it with civic bare equipment + spaceship speedometer but remind u M3 dont have any DSC or TC M3 is very well built vs the Civic. But the recent 1.8-L Civic is good value for money lo. If they had lunched it earlier, I may have been swayed and saved 15k. Oh well, nvm wil be getting my missus car this weekend. Thinking of changing the tyres as I heard the Toyo Proxes is noisy. Any recommendations from M3 owners? Thanks

Ya..I reliased that no left foot rest. But hey, since the pads look nice, might as well change all of it. The stock rubber paddles looks abit out with the brilliant interior.
As for the colour, ahh...graphite mica. White looked lovely, but just too many around. Yours?

QUOTE(jumajuma @ Aug 14 2010, 05:28 PM) i dont think 300 can buy a new one.. especially when our mirror come with signal light.. i hear the fog light already cost more than 1k.. should be more than that.. any possibility to repair the damage? does it broken into pieces? I think cannot get for 300 lo I think I remember somewhere its about 700+ for a pair..but that's for a pairla.. Expensive cause got motor to fold in kua.. Anyway my missus had her car (M3 2.0) for about 2 weeks liao. When I drive the car..I notice something strange, the rev seems stuck at 2.5k when driving 100km. Same at 120km... Anyone got the same issue. IMHO rev 2.5k at 100km is quite high, bad for fuel consumption le. Do let me know guys..
Less demand, for sure the windscreen of these kind of cars will be expensive. 4K, even though it's expensive, it's better than peugot 308 (7K).
yeah but 308 got panoramic roof lo so 7k reasonable le Mazda just windscreen 4k...abit too much i say.. But glad to note that take up for the Mazda 3 is getting better..July 2010 100+ units sold which means....hopefully better 2nd value and cheaper parts.
