The interior is sexy, but the external appearance is kinda plain.

closing & opening the side panel gonna be suck big time

Nowdays casing design most go for black interior already

the exterior kinda not nice

the exterior kinda look like lianli/silverstone type

depends on user preferences how u look at it

but i really like the interior (not bcoz of the black color) but rather the functionality, very neat

eh im the opposite,i feel the exterior too plain le,but on the other hand the interior is superb.maybe can mod the exterior with some patterns then it will be nice

case looks a bit plain.. but looks big =O and cooling solution looks pretty good.. and a unique way of storing hard drives , when will it come out?

oh...i semakin see the casing i semakin like the casing...but the exterior.......look not very fine to me...T_T

its called "minimalist" design
more focussed on functionality aspect of the case

nice casing

nice casing. I wish see this casing appear in retail store around us soon.

outlook of the case looks really good man....

but there a few flaws from what i can see though....things that would kinda makes me think twice about buying it...

-HDD bay cooling...looks really restrictive for airflow to go in..
-wheres the intake? it cant be the HDD fan on the side, coz the side panel is closed...also dont see any filters anywhere...
-the ventilation holes on the back panel located below the PCI and i/o ports...wat in gods name thats there for i dunno...i dont see it serving any purpose except for being a more efficient way of collecting dust. would rather see ventilation holes above the PCI slots (below the rear exhaust).
-same goes for the vent holes on the top of the back panel...not only will hot air from the rear fan come back in through it, itll bring along more dust as well.
-SECC steel interior
- no removable mobo tray

inside promising. but don't like the kaki lah...not asymetric and look weird

weih for me i think its a great casing .
especially seeing that the tube hole placements are exactly where it shud be .
and for cable management is very nice !
if it's fully alu, i might trade wif my TJ07

i think the raven 2 is coming out at JULY ....

But the FT02 seems to be closer to the raven series than the fortress.

wow the corsair obsidian is a damn cool casing with a better cable management , might swap my antec 1200 with this casing , see how things go for me ...kakkakakakak

RM1.6 k for this is quite over-priced. Day light robbery.

RM1.6k I can buy 3 RV02 casing already. LOL

I think you can get RM1,300+ in some shops in Low Yat RM1,600 is obviously a daylight robbery.

i still wouldnt pay 1.3k for a case that has no removable mobo tray and worst still, is made out of SECC

For a casing that size, why would you need a removable mobo tray? Its expensive no doubt, but damn look at the amount of thought and attention to detail that went into the casing design. Its almost perfect.

coz from my experience (and also my workstation setup)...a removable mobo tray (and Asus' Q-Connectors) are damn useful

oh well, to each their own

I'm planning to go watercooling, so removable mobo trays have no use to me

The tray makes it a lot easier for you to mount the motherboard because you don't have to make the casing lie down on one side

RM1699 includes the shipment fees all the way from oversea to our shore and sikit untung by CEX...

MOST expensive casing I ever seen Only "rich daddy" play toy But the looks quite plain to me. Prefer bit "rugged"

Corsair shows its Obsidian 700D case

Another tower case from Corsair

The guys from Hardwareluxx.de managed to score some info on the new Corsair Obsidian 700D case that will most likely be officially unveiled at Cebit show. The new Obsidian 700D looks a lot like the Obsidian 800D, the first case from Corsair, but with couple of modifications which should make the new Obsidian 700D a bit more affordable considering the high price of the 800D.

The new Obsidian is a tower size case made out of steel frame and aluminum face and most probably side design. Its dimensions are 609x609x229mm (HxLxW) and it features five exposed 5.25-inch bays. The insides include room for up to six 3.5-inch HDDs or six 2.5-inch ones, features tool-free installation for optical drivers and removable CPU backplate. Unlike the 800D, the new 700D doesn't have a front mounted door for HDD accessibility and hot-swat feature.

The Obsidian 700D should pack enough cooling power as it comes with three 140mm fans placed in front, back and on top.

The price hasn't been announced but we guess that it should be at least a bit lower than the €220 which is the average price of the Obsidian 800D.

the bottom hdd bay look like can dismantle easily and can fit another item around that . i prefer this 700D case over 800D for the design
