hi, yesterday i go check out RemoteTracker website.

http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net/

I found out that remotetracker is now V4 already!! And i love the new features they had build in.

RemoteTracker is a piece of freeware that TRACK ur stolen phone or track ur device where in the cases u need to find your phone.

Now, for those device uses only broadband data connection and no voice plan like me. SMS and Voice call is not allowed but we do have a 24/7 data connection on the phone.

So like this, since i cannot send sms and but can receive sms. so i can receive command from sms and request my xperia to FTP all the require info into a website. then i can go download, input the GPS coordinate uploaded into my FTP site. Since i got my phone's GPS coordinate, then we can easily track back our previous device.

Hereby, what i can contribute to u all is. I create a FTP account that uses as a Temporary Space to allow RemoteTracker upload the required files into my FTP sites and u all can use it in case of emergency. juz allow ur xperia to connect to internet and upload the files.

This is my FTP account details :

HOST NAME : rkwan.co.cc
FTP Username : xperia@rkwan.co.cc
FTP Password : xperia

I tried some software regarding phone tracking for stolen purposes. RemoteTracker is the best i found and i personally get back my PDA when it get stolen with the help of police.

To Download this Nice Software
Please Head to Rkwan.co.cc - X1ROM

For Available Command, Please Refer Here:
http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net/manual.html#9

I Hope what i trying to say is understand by most of member.

Hope u enjoy my contribution. I know this contribution isnt great. but i got 2 years hosting package with lots of bandwidth, so this site wont be down within 2 years time.

Any problem can post it here too...

Just curious most thieves will immediately remove the simcard and battery from the phone.

Just want to understand how does the phone want to connect to the internet to provide GPS to assist the police to track it down?
And how the phone know it is stolen?

Because to get a lock on the phone from what i understand the phone needs to lock to GPS first so it only able to sms the coordinates. What if the thief is indoor?

once they remove battery.. then we cant do anything.

remotetracker allow u to key in a list of allow sim card.. up to 4 currently. so if anyone put in un-authorised sim card. remote tracker will automatically send a SMS to the pre-defined number in settings.

that mean, when u read the sms. u will definitely know the number of the thief since remotetracker using that sim card to send u help sms.

then u can reply the sms with "remote tracker command". control ur pda and get the GPS coordinate. u can even use "CB" command, get ur PDA call u straight with thief's simcard. u can directly know wher is ur phone.

if the thief is indoor. u will first get Cell Tower ID and cell tower Coordinate. which is around 600m accuracy. then once the thief come out outdoor. u will receive another GPS coordinate SMS.

thx
