I rewatched some scenes from TF1. From a CG-wise point of view, Revenge was spectacular, but simply put the original Transformers scene were better executed. I can easily say I enjoy TF1's final scene better against TF2's.

I loved how they made it suspenseful. Bonecrusher grappling with Optimus on the highway, Starscream firing missiles, Bumblebee injured, Megatron snapping Jazz in half, then Optimus against Megatron. Very nice. And when they managed to gun down Brawl and Blackout....very nice.

I don't get the same thing with the Egypt fight in Revenge. The best thing was basically Bumblebee vs Rampage, that was pretty cool, but the rest was forgettable. The forest fight was good and probably the best, but it was pretty sad to have a climax that was, well, underwhelming. I wish they put the forest fight at the end tongue.gif

I watched ROTF back in last week and I must say, I was impressed with the movie smile.gif

though I must say that TF1 was much better in terms of the transformers fighting scene.. but ROTF has its uniqueness tongue.gif

Oh yea.. Optimus vs 3 decepticons at the same time was epic thumbup.gif

No matter how you try to justify it (robot/alien heaven/whatever) the idea of a robot afterlife is just ridiculous, seriously.

Sci-Fi stories have been done so many times, and they have explored robot/alien subjects enough times. But how many times have they explored the idea of a robot "afterlife"?

I follow sci-fi and fantasy stories, and really enjoy them. But I can't wrap around the idea of robots/aliens having an afterlife.

Simply put,

Idea of Robots/Aliens - Quite preposterous but acceptable.
Idea of Human Afterlife - Preposterous for some but acceptable.
Idea of Robot Afterlife - So preposterous it's funny.

So, we are supposed to believe that Aliens, Predator have Predator heaven? Or that the aliens in Mars Attack go to hell because they attacked Earth?

Come on.

Hey, the idea of a afterlife for us is just as ridiculous, if you ask me, but let's not go there.

bay showed us john turturro's ass.
i can bet you he's not going for oscars.
he's just smiling right now for the biggest box office of his life-to-date.

everyone that calls him an idiot, he just secretly tell himself he fooled everyone out of their money and still some more to reach the current revenue. im sure he thinks himself as genius if we are to believe how everyone says how egotistical he is. who would he think be the idiot at the end? the guy who knows hes making an explosive movie with stupid plot and story or the people contributing to him making money eventhough they know its stupid to begin with?

I even think that pets have afterlife. I would call them pets wonderland. Some ppl just think too much and it causes me to think that superman is ridiculous. A flying man with red underwear on the outer layer saving the world? The heck. ~

Borat is a ridiculously offensive and tasteless movie that is also outrageously funny.

This is Borat:

oh...that one huh...I did a search in imdb for Borat and it showed
"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"
Pictures were also decent.....didn't know Borat was a different kinda movie!

Some people mind are closed to new ideas.Luckily movies (director) doesnt think this way.

imagine 70 years ago... movies on aliens are all about ..

- alien usually ugly, big head, green
- came using UFO... most of the time its shaped like a saucer
- alien came only to kill mankind.

If modern alien movies are all about the above and nothings change.. those who liked the "old" way and comment the rest of the new ideas are preprosterous (aliens mate with humans, aliens befriend little boys rather than kill them, aliens made from metal, aliens have emotions and cry, aliens have own heaven/hell*), its pretty hard to reason with such closed minded audience.

* why not? considering aliens are like humans .. having their own planets/civilisation/social system/religion/faction.

Audience that still have earth-ly mindset might as well try NOT to watch movies related to outerspace and extre-terrestrial. too much "new ideas" hard to digest:- easily being labelled "ridiculous" coz brain refuse to open up. Stay on earth and watch "Earth-movies" better which we all can relate too (sinking ships with uber love story anyone?)

...They (filmmakers) could have always paused to ponder on whether or not things are indeed fitting into place. There is always the cutting room... There is always more areas for improvement. Sadly, M Bay threw everything he had and it turned out to be a mashed potato of a movie. smile.gif

Just my thoughts.

You can make a movie about Superman, but dont ask me to expect superman making a cameo in TF2. That is just ridiculous.

Get what I mean?

Borat was just ****ing gross. Imagine having a 100kg ass on your face. ****! Cohen's acceptance speech when he won at the golden globes was almost as funny as the movie itself.

QUOTE
I just wanna say, this movie was a life-changing experience. I saw some amazing, beautiful and vigorating parts of America. But I saw some dark parts of America, an ugly side of America, a side of America that rarely sees the light of day. I refer, of course, to the anus and testicles of my co-star, Ken Davitian.

When I was in that scene, and I stared down and saw your two wrinkled Golden Globes on my chin ...

...I thought to myself, I'd better win a bloody award for this!

And then when my 300-pound co-star decided to sit on my face and squeeze the oxygen from my lungs, I was faced with a choice. Death, or to breathe in the air that had been trapped in a small pocket between his buttocks for 30 years!

Kenneth, if it was not for that rancid bubble, I would not be here today!

Thank you!

And thank you to every American who has not sued me so far. Thank you!

That's Bay for ya! The same Bay who goes "oh no we cant just put Prime's corpse down gently and safely, we have to drop it from 30 metres up! So it lands with a loud THUD! By the way can we have explosions to go along with that?".

That Bay.

Not as good as the prequel. Seems like a one man show of Optimus to me ... and I just wonder why he can beat the Decepticons without breaking a sweat considering he got his ass kicked by Megatron so darn easily in prequel.

People arent being closed minded.

It's the problem with Bay's transformers that is too human like.

They were some badass aliens in the first movie and suddenly they become some pathetic aliens in the second movie.Suddenly transformers started to fart, get old, hump hot chicks.Seriously, this is utter bullshit and all of them got killed by a few human bombs where in the first movie,AP rockets barely hurt them.

It's not consistent at all and it's just a damn joke.Couple with a no storyline.Transformer 2 is probably one of the worst movie i ever seen.

I personally dislike the bots mimicing humans too. Jetfire's geezer looking with walking stick, wheelie's perverted motor-mouth.

2 years has passed between the first and second movie timeline. Human military might have gain progress in inventing more powerful weapons that works on hurting the transformers. It would be the logical move since Earth's safety is concerned. Don't think the military stay "dumb dumb" and say "ahhhh.. the autobots can take K of the decepticons, let us continue to built flimsy weapons to target human terrorist instead!"

And if you didnt sleep through the battle scenes, it doesnt take a "few human bombs". It took continuos bombardment after bombardment by the human military using all possible arrays of weaponry, tanks , jet planes and so on. And some of the decepticons that fought are protoforms (fragile mode), just landed from outer space. Don;t think they're realy that "hard" to kill.

By not sleeping through the battle scenes, you will find out some deceps were taken down by autobots (Prime > Grindor, Bee > Ravage and Rampage), rather than by the humans (military) alone.

And finally, if you wake up at the finale (you did, didnt you?).... you will find out that Megatron and Starscream injured, YET survived.

Yea rite.

The chopper shud land Optimus on a big mattress or air bag instead of dropping him off the ground like that.

The transformer shud not fart. They shud release some smell of burning metal instead.

They shud not get old at all. I hope my car will not get old and looks/drive the same as a new 1.

They shud not hump chicks. They shud hump their head to the wall instead.

Decepts shud not been kill by human bombs. They shud drop a 10 ton nuckler and wipe humans away and straight went to the credits.

JustforFun: Wats the purpose of taking Jetfire parts if he shud be weak as before?

exactly my point the haters.bashers cant even think out of the box. Heres a scenario, theres 9 planets around the solar system, and earth is only one place where theres life,ok granted, then the sun is just one of the countless trillions of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy, and the galaxy is just another X number of galaxy in space, given that enormity, its puzzling how we could only be one sentient species in the whole of infinity that has heaven or hell or an afterlife, so you are telling me if they were aliens that was also created by god(this character can be subjective to some), he/she(depends on your religion beliefs) only made them for humans alone not for his other characters that he made? special preference i presume?

Woooo a smart ass coming out with a theory he pulled out of his butt,no we have to ROFL with him. Did i ever say in any of my replies in this thread, version 1 or 2, my thrills are purely based on action scene alone? If you cant find anything to link me with, dont make shit up.
