Can't agree more. If T2 is more details towards the robot characters. There is a comic before revenge of the fallen, but I think most of us does not know about that, shame on MB thinking that everyone knows the whole story.

With people like nimrod and techfrix defending the movie, I think it's pretty clear what kind of people love this movie.

If Bay expects everyone to read all the prequel comic before watching the movie,this movie is just utter shit then.

No everyone reads the prequel comic,unless you are a hardcore fan or you become interested after watching the movie.

I think it's more like, somebody read the script, wrote down all the plot holes and WTF bits, and distributed them accordingly. "This nonsensical part can become comic, this inexplicable thing can be explained in novel, etc."

Going to watch 2nd time this weekend ... to grasp it all in.

Go and watch it at a different Cinema...

TF2 got 2 versions....one they cut almost 15minutes of it.
To know which one is which, the underwater scene where they revive Megatron, a robot was sacrificed for its parts.
The short version didn't show that scene.

especially the mum scene is totally ridiculous.
As for the Pretender scene, there isn't really a necessary to put it in there. The story still can go on without it, or just makes some decepticons do a total chaos at the UNI will do so.
ya, a bit of introduction of how sidewipe they come to find Optimus would be great too.

The whole movie is just want to introduce US military hav the best war weapons.

But overall i'm still watching this movie for the action scene.

whats with the people like me BS now? what does defending a movie or bashing it reflect what type of a person you are? dont tell me you have some social psychology logic to answer this? at least i know where i stand and maintained that it was fun for me because it somehoe honored most ideas of the past work and wasnt just sourced from one source only, i never claimed this movie to have a critic worthy storyline to begin with, and up until people were coming up with comparisons on how this movie sucked compared to other movies like so and so, we were explaining about what happened in the movies one a scene to scene level, for the most part i was in that discussion. Also when it comes to this movie, you on the other hand suffer a case of indecisiveness,evident from the way you actually like the movie and argue how it doesnt follow the G1 cartoons,to saying all that doesnt matter,a movie should stand on its own, and subsequently bashing it all the way, and also if i remember correctly for a shitty movie like this you gave a 3/4 despite your claims its sucky all the way.

Haha, people still doesn't stop bashing/defending this movie. I saw some post are almost the same over and over again. Well, I heard some people order the popcorn, one for me too. This is good

they always capture one of the witwicky al the time on the series so its no surprise they took both parents as a bargaining chip. Thats smart on Starscream's part.

The decepticons (protoforms) doesn;t "simply" pick on a random earth city to land . The reason why some landed on Paris is to kidnap Sam's parents. Obviously when their "mission" is complete, there's no point staying in Paris... of course they head to the desert and literally dump their kidnapees there in front of Sam.

I rather the audience did some "intelligent" nitpicking like how Decepticons in (slow) construction vehicle mode able to travel to the desert so fast from Paris, rather than "what happened to them in Paris? Did the cons thrash the whole city?".

OK... additional stuff for those who "missed" the scene on how the hell the cons able to track Sam's parents down to Paris( i know eventually some would ask here... ,considering even obvious stuff being asked before).

Soundwave managed to track Sam's mom cellphone and called her up. She picked up the phone and treat it like a perverted call. This is where soundwave pinpointed their exactly location... and the protoforms landed... heading for them.

Soundwave gives the coordinates to the fallen or Megatron so that he could teleport them to the desired location, and space bridge wasnt made up its a cybertronian technology which can be seen on the following adaptations, TF: Defiance,TF: All Hail Megatron, TF: The Reign of Starscream, TF: G1 and TF: War Within
