Is this game anywhere as good as Monster Hunter 3 on the same console?

Now, based on the GT review. I can say this.

Forgot everything you've ever played. THIS.IS.A.GAME!

None of that pure bullshit graphic crap galore walking around HD crap, its gameplay, and only gameplay that wins it.

To be frank, i remember no one ever cared about Mario's story (except for our kids and the younger children). People played it because its Mario all over (and welcome back Luigi!). And the real meat of the game is the challenge of collecting all those stars and clever boss battles. (Which echoes similarly to NSMB Wii).

So, with that in mind, is there a problem?

I noticed this is the fastest and shortest duration of time a 2nd Mario game is released. (NSMB Wii was still 7 months ago)
