Amidst one of our furious brianstorm sessions, the staff at Joystiq concurred that site readers -- who never miss a beat -- would undoubtedly be hungry like the wolf for a full Guitar Hero 5 track list. Under pressure, we toiled six days a week and pulled together previously announced artists and trusted sources to obtain the complete (though not officially confirmed) set of tracks, soon to be transformed into rapidly approaching note charts. Why bother?
Because we wanted to see smiles on all the pretty faces. And ... we're only happy when it rains. Smells like teen spirit is a song that is in this game. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Source This post has been edited by paige.pc: Aug 6 2009, 03:25 AM |

ROCKFEST MULTIPLAYER NEW GAME MODES GH5 Updated Trailer
there's a great new set list of 85 songs featuring a variety of iconic rock music. Release Date: Sep 1, 2009 The "Rockfest" games include: * "Momentum," in which all players start at medium difficulty, which increases with every 20-note streak and decreases with three missed notes. * "Streakers," in which points are awarded only for consecutive notes played while nude in multiples of ten. "One point for the first 10 note streak, two for reaching 20, three for 30, and so on." * "Perfectionist," in which each section of a song is scored by percentage of correct notes, with the top player receiving four points, the next best player receiving two, and third place receiving one. * "Do or Die," which knocks a player out for the remainder of a section for missing three notes (otherwise known as the "Not Fun" variant). * "Elimination," in which low-scoring players are eliminated at regular intervals. * "Pro Face-Off," which is a basic score competition. Last year's game supported eight players online, but it was limited to two Wii's connected online. We now support up to eight systems for online multiplayer. It was a feature that the core gamers on Wii really wanted, and the team was pretty passionate about making it happen for this year. No in-game Friend Codes! For GH5, we've implemented support for your global Wii Friend Codes. If you've got friends in your Wii address book, they'll automatically be added to your friends list in game, so you can easily connect up with them in online multiplayer games. It's much easier to maintain a single list of friends on your Wii that you only have to enter once and use that address book directly in-game for invites, etc. So the big surprise this year for Wii gamers is our Wii-DS connectivity. Update: This track list is official now. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Artists to be featured as characters: * Matt Bellamy (Muse) * Johnny Cash * Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) * Shirley Manson (Garbage) This post has been edited by paige.pc: Aug 6 2009, 03:30 AM |

I can't believe the ever so faithful paige hasn't posted anything on GH5 yet.
I'm actually liking GH5 a lot. This is what GHWT could have... SHOULD have been! GHWT DLCs are transferable and some of my GHWT favourites can be imported. Activision is finally doing things right. I can't wait for band hero! |

Much better than all previous GH versions , personal thoughts.
The Start up at the Random songs mode just join in to play is cool. The online new modes even much better , more competitive with all the new vs modes. Graphics are better and sharper. The starpower bar abit hidden to me. (not big enuff ) Star power highway naise. Of all the vs new modes online played ive experienced. I prefers Momentum and DO OR DIE. New online searched players is million times better now compares to before ( now , its more like rb2 concept ) Easier to view of everything. The Career mode is very naise cos it has some Task or so for you to achieve. Best part is you can import all ur older GH songs dlc to it. and by adding wii console codes instead of friend codes , i think its very convienient especially for those who has tons of buddies alreayd in their Address book. Overall ROCKS! ( but songs preference even with dlc in the pic, i still prefers RB2 +dlc , overall songs choice ) This post has been edited by paige.pc: Sep 5 2009, 02:17 AM |

Actually, i'm more excited about Band Hero now that i've seen how nice they made GH5. I keep finding more and more reasons to buy the BH full bandkit since both that and GH5 has no instrument restrictions anymore, i'll be able to do full 4-player guitar jamming or 2-player drums head-on, or karaoke duet!
By the way paige, do you still have your USB mics for sale? |

Will also check out on BandHero, havent do that. Nope ive sold mine the Pega mic set last time. And now im using a second hand Rockband Ps3 mic for Wii, it works universal. |

Enter that in, pay the 350 points, and you'll be able to redownload these 35 songs:Wanted to buy the GHWT song add on pack for 350 points but they ask me to pun in an ID.
