QUOTE(K-End @ Jun 8 2009, 09:04 PM) from the PSX era i remember Jumping Flash...it even being shown in TV3's Cyberwave(R.I.P) ps2 era...reminds me of MGS2..for the PS2 era...the first one i know is Way of the Samurai Sony wings just started selling it,and no one knew how to play all cincai cincai main. even MGS4 suffers from the same fate. i saw a couple of guys trying it out at the sony center in midvalley about a week or so ago,and all they did was run around in shadow moses without the night vision goggles enabled...basically running around like a headless chicken in the middle of the blizzard if it's one game you'd want to see people playing in public,it's MGS. if they dunno how to play,it can be damn well hilarious XD QUOTE(K-End @ Jun 8 2009, 09:06 PM) it was understandable enough that SEA is also under NTSC J region. we are insignificant compared to the japs but it's funny to think that the Japanese never say they are asia region |

QUOTE(Zeliard @ Jun 9 2009, 12:14 AM) I received a reply from Sony, now that was quick. maybe automated reply? Thank you for your e-mail and interest in PS products. Please be informed that each region would have different market situations and it does not mean that Malaysia will have the equivalent price that of Singapore. A lot of factors like laws and policies would affect this price setting. Even if you tally prices from other regions like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, the prices will all differ, based on that region's market situation. They do not have the exact equivalent amounts even if after conversion. However, we thank you for your feedback and we will forward this to our related department for evaluation and possible future product improvement. For updated information regarding our PS products, please feel free to browse our web site at http://asia.playstation.com/my/en. If you have further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us at http://asia.playstation.com/my/en/support/contactus/. Playstation product hotline tel: 1-800-81-4963(Mondays to Sundays 09:00-20:00) or they anticipated this, and came up with excuses prior to opening the store |

considering sony receives money from developers thanks to whatever we download,i'd say they're not losing that much in the grand scheme of things.
if im not mistaken, for every 1GB we download, developers (or was it publishers?) have to pay sony 16 cents or something. not sure if it only covers demos or videos as well, though |

QUOTE(Faidzal @ Jun 16 2009, 01:22 AM) There was a Games and Gadgets exhibition at Mid Valley last Sunday. RM110.Sony Centre (Tan Electronics) had one huge booth. I asked the salesperson how much for the PSN Store card. He said it was RM110.00. Sensing a ripoff, decided not to buy. So what's the retail price of it actually? lol |

in hindsight, im actually really greatful that we already have PSN cards.
our store launches, and we get the psn cards almost at the same time. look at the EU. for ONCE,for the VERY FIRST TIME (that i can remember) we have something THEY do not! and this isnt a HK or SGP card, but a MY CARD! we have something the EU does NOT! i find it to be fantastic, despite the prices of the games in the PSN store being somewhat high. at least we can already purchase goods off of it. unlike those in the EU who HAVE to depend on credit cards to purchase items off of the store. when/if the price goes down to RM100 per card,i'll probably purchase one straight away. ofcourse there are those who prefer to use CCs,but how many of us have one? i sure dont. and with reload cards it's even better,IMO. controlled spending. thing about CCs is that we might get carried away purchasing anything and everything since there's no actual limit(until your credit limit is up,which could be in the thousands or maybe even more) |

QUOTE(MistaFattah @ Jun 20 2009, 12:08 AM) but when u think about it again, let say u eat McD/TGiF/PizzaHut, all got taxes what. u pay more than what u eat, what u drink. QFTas Mistafattah says above, pretty much everything is taxed. hell, even going to the freakin cinema you have to pay tax! so if you think about it,it's not an "exclusive to stupid sony" problem. the only reason some places dont "seem" to have any tax,is because they absorb it into their menu/price already.(cinema ticket being a good example) you cant expect sony to absorb 10 bucks for each of the cards. if 100 people buy the card, that's 1000 bucks already and sony+charity....well, |
