Jack Tretton didn't announce MY store in the press... laugh.gif

The scenario goes like this if he did.
Jack: We're pleased to announce the Malaysian PSN store will open its door starting next week, Monday. The 8th of June.

Everyone in the room would go... ''HUH?" "is that even a country?"

Very rarely do you see a good deal on SG store.... laugh.gif

Its only a dream now if Malaysia PSN follows US PSN though... not in region, but in prices. We'll know this Monday.

most of the US psn cheap because 1st their currency high, 2nd lots of investors are in US thus causing the products cheap pricing.....thats why you can get as low as US$9.98 for each PS3 games and bundle and even lower like US$4.99 per game....unless malaysia have free trade with overseas....if not don't even think about it...not even in dreams.... sweat.gif

lucky i dont even bother the my psn... already expected this will happen..

besides about the posts above....the psn card do need tax, RM 100 is just like US$20...with tax is $21++ so means that you paying the tax for the card then redeem it into psn store and purchase it will get tax again for digital purchase....well....using credit card is the only choice to save tax from psn card....

not i want to be offence but seriusly be smart little bit...it will be expensive and the psn card will sure have tax on it....why make such a fuss when it does not appear what you wish for?

and dont even dream on getting the same rates as US psn price tag....the reason why US getting all the cheap stuff is because multiple reasons on economy and investors bond with other countries....while malaysia?......at least I did saw singapore selling R1 US game with similar price but different in currency....such as SF4 US$59 = SIN$59....

again still i want to stress that out....if you really think the my psn store price going to be same as US price tag....what about the rest of the R3 region psn store....and are we malaysian on par with Americans in United States?

although our land is bolehland still.....is third world compare to theirs first world..... unsure.gif

Haven't open my PS3 for some time, damn that thing like dust very much. For some reason I tried loading my PSN my account [US has been set to default, last time I use MY account was when I registered it], to my surprise MY PSN Store is up. And to my other surprise no credit card, which lead me to here, where else can any geeky Malaysian go.
Kinda agree with this one. When you think about it those prepaid card are just like gift vouchers; I'm pretty sure there's no tax from the government on this one. Because of that is the case; you'll be paying Rm 110 for a rm 100 Jusco vouchers, which I'm not sure is the case. When you really think about it when you buy the prepaid card you're just converting your money to another form, another currency. Why should this be subject to tax, it's subject to exchange rate but the exchange rate is fixed 1:1.
So when the employee from Sony told you the government is taxing them, bullshit, I don't see the government taxing my jusco gift vouchers. The only logical reason why there's that 10% extra is that those prepaid card doesn't come with a high margin or worser zero margin. Since the store wouldn't be getting anything from the PSN-Store transaction they bump up the price by 10 ringgit and blame the government. How much margin are the guy who's selling those hotlink RM10 prepaid, 3%. Do you think 3% is good enough for a Sony-Store
And another thing about the DLC [i know this is xbox term but people used it] goods on PSN my being taxed, I found out that a bit too good to be true. If you've been reading news on video gaming, certain states in the US has introduce tax to DLC content early this year, EARLY THIS YEAR. And some Sony employee are telling you that the Malaysian Government has this figured out on the first implementation of DLC distribution channel in Malaysia. They got it right the first time round. If that is the case, Najib deserve some respect.
On some people saying that the cost of building an infrastructure in Malaysia is expensive, I couldn't agree more it's damn expensive. Do you know how much a leased line for 6MB will cost a cost a corporation RM400,000 a year. Damn Telekom. That 'll be the bane of any IT infrastructure in Malaysia. Then again the internet doesn't care where you place your server. You can have a business in Malaysia but a server operating in Sealand. You can even share facility with other Country-PSN facility. Our load is very low. So you can't say the game is expensive because it's more expensive to set up something in Malaysia.

So in the end why do I have to pay premium price on these item. I even have to pay premium on the method of payment. Scarcity and monopoly, damn u sony, damn you government for being smart [if they do tax DLC], damn you Telekom [we've been at 1Mb for 6 years at the same price, DAMN YOU Telekom, 1Mb is not boradband anymore], damn you astro [keep jacking up the price, add some stupid channels], damn you Tenaga [jacking up tariff and saying bad things about ma company]

Drank too much red bull, sorry

nop. i agree on your point. you just base on solid fact to spit out the truth, here... give yourself a pad.. laugh.gif

the reason they have tax is because not only malaysia in US also like this buy $20 pay $21++ at checkout items.

but what i need to confirm is do they tax when you checkout games in PSN store? if that the case i prefer credit card better. only 1 times tax but not twice!! mad.gif
