Publisher: Electronic Arts Developer: Visceral Games Genre(s): First-Person Action, Adventure, Horror Players: 1 ESRB Rating: M (Mature) Release Date: September 29, 2009 __________________________________________________________ Somewhat unexpected, Dead Space Extraction received majorly positive feedback from reviewers WikipediaMetacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...action?part=rssIGN (8.5) : QUOTE Extraction isn’t like its 360 brother, but it is a true Dead Space experience, and the game is not only packed with content, but also very polished. Gamespot (8.0) : QUOTE This story-focused on-rails shooter is a worthy follow-up to Dead Space that delivers the same sorts of thrills, chills, and kills, but in a whole new way. me! played to chapter 10 already (just finished just now).
- very high quality production - like a blockbuster movie. - can't be too trigger happy. otherwise no more ammo to reach the end. - stasis (freezing your enemy) plays an important role in game strategy. - the glow worm is nice addition to gameplay. imagine the stress shooting enemies at the same time u need to constantly shake your remote to keep your glow worm lighted. If u don't light your glow worm, well, u be playing in the dark. - certain parts very stressful, and certain parts make your heart jump - Got 6 unlockable issues - tell u the story from another angle, which ties in to the game's sotry. - Got a dozen unlockable challenges too - is like the campaign story, but minus the story dialogues. - 4 level diffiulty - normal, hard, expert, impossible. normal is fairly easy so that u don't repeat the chapter until u don't want to play anymore. so for hardcore gamers, u should start at hard. - I love this game. but i still don't like rail shooters. as a comparison, i didnt like RE - umbrella chronicles. What this means is it not a typical rail shooter. - the game is cheaper then the normal usd 49.99. in malaysia it should be around rm130 only

The game failed as an on-rail shooter game. Requires you to do stupid things like opening the doors(hey it is on-rail man.... cant the game just open the door for me??? ), punching the nails, shaking the glow worm, clearing the blocks, etc. =.=
What is the point of playing an on-rail shooter that doesn't have the on-rail shooter game play/flow....
Just play any FPS is MUCH better than playing this mindless game.
I think anyone who played Virtual Cop / Time Crisis / House of The Dead series would agree with me.
Bad taste for those who think the game is great ...

I feel it's quite good. It tell the story before the main event on Dead Space begin. To me good game had be fun. I don't care if it is mindless as long as you feel shiock playing the game. If you want genuine rail shooter, try out House of the Dead: Overkill (but for 18++ due to the vulgar language, f*** all the way).

It's a good title, if made rail-shooting the FPS title lacks of smoothness, sick of playing it Overkill....played once with my friend and were both almost went into sleeping mode feel no impact at all....gave up half way
