E3 2009: Final Fantasy XIII Release Window Confirmed
Microsoft's press conference reveals more details.

During Microsoft's E3 press conference this morning, representatives from Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be launching sometime in Spring of 2010. This doesn't necessarily indicate that the PlayStation 3 version would be coming at precisely the same time, as the release windows might be staggered.

Prior to the announcement, we were shown the English version of the game running on a 360, which included a few snippets of voice talent, an Odin summon spell and more



*FF13 just a misunderstanding during E3* it will not be release on PC

Square Enix is going to enter the deep MMO waters once again as the Japanese publisher officially announced plans for Final Fantasy XIV (or 14 if you don't like Roman numbers) Online. The game's teaser site has already launched with a teaser trailer (naturally).

The game is due out on the PC and the PS3 in 2010 and aside from the teaser trailer andt the words "Adventure begins anew in the vast realm of Eorzea" no other info on the game has been revealed. Our sister site Massively has some pictures from the Sony press conference where the news was first announced.

One thing...Do note that the title in IGN is "Release Window", not "Release in Windows" nor "Windows Release." The OS is called Windows, not Window. And release window would probably mean the release date time-frame.

And the line, "..., as the release windows might be staggered." It means the release date might be staggered.

That's how I understood it as well. For any release there is the "release window" which is a rough estimate of when you think the product will go out.

Does not mean a PC release itself. Not saying there is no PC release, just that this message does not state anything about it from what I understand

not really into jap rpg but it is a good thing to see more games coming to PC.

I would actually be quite happy if they bring another FF on PC, but I am not holding my breath on it
